This was my Thailand base for several years a while ago. Would have rated 5* according to past experience but this was just a pre-airport stop Early morning wake up call did not happen so lose one star.
Dont not stay here. There are so many other hotels within 1-2 km away that are so much more clean. The pictures on there websites are very misleading. I sent I wife to stay their on business and she had to move between three different room and they were all the same - NASTY, OLD, MOLDY, and not worth the price. The "breakfast" was cold eggs and pork sausage. DONT LIE ON YOUR WEBSITE. Please clean or close this hotel down.
It is a bit laid back and - as stated in previous references - there must have been times when there was going on more in this place. But it is still a very nice and quit place to stay. I stayed 5 weeks in bungalow 4023 and really enjoyed to stay in the very quite "bungalow park" in the back of the hotel. At night I heard only the frogs, the birds and sometimes some dogs in the neighbourhood. Staff was friendly and helpful, the American breakfast was good, the wifi fast and the prize very reasonable. It is about 25 min. to walk to the Hua Mak station of the Airport Rail Link, which is also very convenient to get to the city centre. Additionally I used regularly the public buses which stop very close to the hotel. The only shortcoming was, that in the self-laundry in the garden there was only a toploader available which did not heat the water and hence did not wash properly. But when I gave my shirts afterwards to the reception for ironing, they washed them again by hand for free. Extra note: During my whole stay in Southeast Asia my clothes never habe been washed properly because it seems there are no reasonable laundry machines.…
I stayed at the Bangkok Rama Hotel for a month, in one of the ground level cottages. The facilities were clean, easily accessible, and rooms were attended to by staff each day. The hotel staff were pleasant, helpful, and courteous at all times. We frequently ate breakfast at the little cafe inside the main hotel building and it was always good. The hotel was close to various shopping, and not far via taxi from larger shopping venues or tourist attractions. I would recommend the Bangkok Rama Hotel to anyone planning to be in Bangkok for any length of time.
It's been quite a few years since I stayed at this hotel and it was the previous name but regardless so much more than I expected! My sis and I stayed here for about 4 weeks and it was an amazing place! Price was perfect, not expensive at all, especially for a 4 week stay! The service was fabulous! Had room service quite a few times and the staff were always gracious and polite. I absolutely loved their watermelon "shakes," which were more like a frozen watermelon drink but it was heaven in a glass! Beds were super comfortable. The US dollar went a long ways! Taxi's weren't that expensive to go to the mall or wherever you wanted and since it was SO hot the taxi's always gave us a free bottle of iced cold water. At that time, I could get a massage at the hotel for $15.00 US money for an hour and a half. I had 3 massages while I was there. SO worth it! The food in the restaurant was absolutely divine! Never was disappointed and the breakfast buffet was really good. Loved having rice available every morning. Fresh, FRESH fruit...I ate so much my pineapple my mouth hurt but I'd do it again! I just can't say enough good things about this place! Oh, I don't know if it's still there but if you walk out to the main street and turn left, there is a 7-11 about 1 or 2 blocks away that has the most delicious yogurt! And very different flavors than I've found in the US. I can't remember the brand though. You'll know though when you see the flavors. Anyhow, I still HIGHLY recommend this hotel for staying at if you visit Bangkok! I'm probably forgetting other great things but I'll stop there. Oh, since I have a bad knee, the guys at the entrance would always give me a ride on their cart to the front door! Man, I really appreciated that! And the elephant water fountain was adorable too! Even though I had to pick December 2015 it was much farther back than that.…
Hotel facilities: Pool, good size, clean. Gym. Room: good size, clean, comfy bed, great en suite. Wifi: excellent Service: front reception staff did not have very good English, so some booking difficulties were not resolved until manager could arrive that night. Location: we were on our way through and wanted to stay close enough to transport and the airport. Taxi to the airport was pretty quick (20 mins), though check with time of day for traffic. Restaurant: ok breakfast, but room service was so very average. For the prices they charge the food should be SO much better. Plenty of close restaurants nearby with average to decent food for a fraction of the price.
I stayed at a cottage .... Nice place .... Very calm .... Good service as they seem care of details ..... Breakfast wasn't much but as I don't take breakfast (only coffrée ) that didn't really bother me.... I love the place ..... 7Eleven n some Restaurant near by ....
Was here for a quick overnight stay & the room felt like that of a 1 star. It was clean enough but it was one of those where I questioned whether I needed slippers while showering. Also, the bed was rock hard. Lastly the breakfast looked questionable... Like it was leftovers left out from the day before.
once agian we stayed in the small cottages in the back of the big hotel :) so nice with a garden in bangkok. this place is close for the train market, witch is one of the best in bangkok and so close to the airpost a 15 min ride ( not in rushhour)
The hotel has lovely gardens with streets of self-contained cottages. My previous stay was delightful, this one was disappointing. I was allocated the cottage which faced very noisy airconditioning motors. The constant rattling and whining took away any enjoyment of my cottage. It was cottage no 1750 and life in it was unpleasant. The rest of the cottages adjacent to mine were unoccupied, perhaps because the staff was aware of the annoying noise.I strongly recommend that you do not agree to stay in cottages no. 1750 to 1758. I asked to be moved to another, quieter cottage and was told that I would have to pay 460 Bhat/night extra. Strange business practice to accommodate the guest in obviously unsuitable cottage at a standard price and then demand more money for move to a normal accommodation.…
