The Sathorn Inn is located down an alleyway from BTS Chong Nonsi. My room on the fifth floor was comfortably large with a double bed, suitcase table, writing table, built in cabinets, refrigerator, AC, and TV (2 English channels). The hotel does have WiFI but you have to pay for it. There is water in the fridge but you have...

The hotel is tired but the staff try very hard and are friendly and helpful. The location is great with very easy access to BTS Chong Nonsi, so quick to Siam or the other way to the river for Ferries. It's an easy walk to Sala Daeng with markets along the way. If you make the effort you can buy...

I have been staying here since 2005 and have found that the hotel is conveniently located close to the Chong Nongsi skytrain station. The breakfast is not brilliant, so this time I chose to pay without breakfast. There are many good food stores nearby and even places like Patpong are within walking distance. Place is nice and clean and they...

I've lost track of the amount of times I have stayed at Sathorn Inn over the past five years and have no reason to discontinue staying there when I visit Bangkok. Its a good sign that the staff haven't changed much over the years - same obliging, trustworthy and friendly service. The rooms are not new but are spacious, clean...

PLEASE NOTE. The address is correct on the trip advisor description, but the placement on the tripadvisor map is miles out, literally. It is not near the airport. I've tried to report this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It cost 1000 bhat a night for a decent sized twin room with air-con, tv, fridge, shower bathroom, everything you need. But the lighting is a...

Room was ok, had everything it needed, but the price was too high. TV worked fine, fridge was ok, beds were comfy, bathroom was clean and everything worked. Location is a bit out of the way for any of the main tourist places but it is within 2 minutes of the skytrain to elsewhere.

Have been staying at this hotel regularly since 2003. It is almost adjacent to Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain, so very easy to get around town, and Silom Road is just a 20 Min walk away. All rooms have a balcony with great views across the city despite being only 8 floors. The bathrooms have all been refurbished recently, and are...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
