Stayed here two nights, was pretty average and wouldn't stay again. It is very very loud and traffic doesn't stop til about 2am! Bring ear plugs if you want a good sleep. The hotel itself is great, very industrial and modern looking. Central location and not far from either the Grand Palace or KhoaSan road. 10 min walk to either!...

We spend one day in the hotel on our way back home so not a big experience. Hotel looks really like warehouse - raw concrete walls, polished concrete on the floor, metal finishes, wooden palette (like in the trucks for moving goods) as a luggage rack. Simple chair, no couch or sofa. I actually liked it but my wife hated...

Good location The point to make is the hotel's location. It is close enough to the main spots to visit but far enough away from the confusion. The hotel's concept is interesting and very practical for a city hotel. My room was the "Corner Double Room", was spacious, large and comfortable. Cleanliness was very good. The hotel restaurant is quite...

This funky, boutique hotel is quirky and wouldn't look out of place in Shoreditch (London) - it's got that cold warehouse vibe but with all the warmth of the lovely Thai staff that work there! Great combination! We stayed here for just two nights in November when we arrived in Bangkok and will be staying for a further one on...

We stayed in this hotel only for a weekend but we were very satisfied with the location and the service. Even though you are 5 min walking form Kao San Road, this place is very quiet and you will get a good sleep without being annoyed by the crazy nightlife that is happening just 2 blocks far from you. On...

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at the Warehouse. It's ideally located if you want to be near the main attractions (as long as you just don't want to go shopping in the large malls). The area is not flash but it's safe. Yes, the streets around are not super clean and there are beggars and prostitutes but that's...

Very clean hotel with amazingly friendly stuff, happy to help. Breakfast choice not very large, but fresh and good food. Rooms pretty large, recently renovated. Location is good - though neighborhood as it is in Bangkok old town filled with night flies. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel - good value for the price.

It's an interesting concept. Do a place up to look like a hospital basement, furnish the rooms with packing crates and charge extra for the experience. Actually, I shouldn't be too harsh. The hotel is clean, well managed and all of the staff were above average. The street, at night, is a bit grotty but we felt safe and the...

I am surprised about all the positive reviews this hotel got. The location is near to the Grand Palace and that's about it. It is very far from anywhere else you want to visit in Bangkok. You have to take taxis everywhere due to no public transport this far down, and since it is so far, you have to pay...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
