For 800 I had a central basic accomodation (room 103 on the first floor). The bed was a bit hard but I could sleep well. The Wifi was very good so I could even watch my football (Studio Sport) on my ipad. Friendly lady downstairs. No bugs, musquitos etc. But I had to put the airco on 18 to get...

Sukhumvit is known for its nightlife and soi 6 sits just off Sukhumvit Road close to Nana BTS Station. Rooms are basic but have hot water with shower. I just needed a room for a couple of hours to basically store luggage and have shower before heading to the airport. So 300Thb gave me a basic room for the half...

I paid 700 TBT per night which was fairly good value considering the location but the rooms are pretty grim. I only stayed 2 nights which was enough. The room smelt damp and had a plastic covered mattress. The pillows were old and lumpy and quite stained, so I laid a towel over them. The rooms are dark and dingy...

Never ever stay here. The only thing this hotel has going for it is that its not in a bad location. Me and 3 friends all booked rooms here for 5 nights before flying into Bangkok via Agoda, that was the first mistake as you get a much cheaper rate if you just turn up at the hotel. (Not to...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
