I loved this hotel it was sort of tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and enter into colonial style baby raffles almost , as an antique dealer myself the decor was fantastic the owner had an amazing eye for antiques and classic cars the rooms where big spacious the staff extremely friendly and polite kind of like...

Bangkok is filled with excellent five star international hotels. Here's something completely different. Small, boutique tucked away in a small Soi off Sukhumvit. The service levels are warm friendly with a touch of classic Thai friendliness. The hotel is only 5 years old but has been created for yesteryear. Food is lovely and the atmosphere unique.

Extremely jet-lagged my husband and I stepped out of our 20 hour flight from Los Angeles, and were met at the airport by the hotel's private driver. A 25 minute drive later, we were quickly checked into the lovely Cabochon. Immediately I felt better, surrounded by the cool marble, fragrant lush trees, and fascinating lobby decor of this renovated colonial...

What a great hotel! Tucked away at the end of the long stretch of busy Sukhumvit is this gem of a hotel. Small and charming. Friendly, attentive and personable staff. Has a great lounge for cocktails and a rooftop pool. Just 13 rooms!

10 years ago I have stayed in the hotel run by the same owner as Cabochon's and it was an unforgettable experience, that's why after 10 years, I decided to spend a night here at Cabochon and hoped it was as great as the previous one, and it didn't disappoint. To me, people in the hotel are important, cause they...

Fantastic boutique hotel in Bangkok. Location is very good and close to Face38 restaurant. Super nice staff and very helpful. Rooms are large and have rustic decoration. Very colonial building and a unique experience to stay here. Great roof top pool.

We easily found the Cabochon (using transit on our first morning in Bangkok). We were greeted by the staff who took care of our luggage, got us inside for an instant check-in and took us to the little library for a refreshing coconut water drink. We were able to enter our room early with no charge because it was clean...

We so loved every moment of our stay here. Everything we needed was at this hotel and we felt so at home. There is an excellent Thai restaurant in the hotel and we so apprecated our beautiful Thai breakfasts although a 'Western' menu is available. There is a warm intimate atmosphere here and yet there is space to sit quietly...

Love this place. Small with highly attentive staff, large nice rooms and a rooftop pool that is awesome to hang out at. I love the interior design, done by the Taiwanese owner I believe. THe little thai/Lao restaurant is also worth trying out.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained, and unique property that really felt like an oasis in the midst of busy Bangkok (but still with easy access to the rest of the city). We stayed in a balcony suite, and it was one of our favorite hotel experiences - we're still talking about the thoughtful design touches throughout the property and how...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
