Great location in centre and rooms very spacious and comfortable. The new building has the large deluxe rooms ( where I stayed ) which are really great except the air conditioners are very noisy. At night however this can be remedied by turning them off, ensuring the room is sealed as much as possible. Room stays cool all night ,...

I wish I could have left a positive review for the Silom Village Inn, because it does have a few things in its favor. Unfortunately, a major safety concern overrides all the positive things about the hotel. The hotel management actually locks the stairwell access for above ground floors, so that guests cannot use the stairs between the hours of...

We stayed a total of 15 nights on 4 occasions using Bangkok as our 'base' touring Thailand and Burma. While we found Silom Village while staying at a hostel further up Silom, Soi 6, and moved there because it was cheaper than the cost for 2 people there. The property and rooms are suitable except that the a/c units are...

Silom village is a comfortable hotel down on Silom Road half way between the river and Sala Deang BTS station. It has maintained its low key, family style for as long as I have been staying there since 2001. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not everyone speaks English but someone at reception does as do most of the merchants...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

“You may want to book your room without breakfast. The restaurant where you can have breakfast at, with the coupon the hotel issues you is right outside the entrance but has a serious staff issue. They are unfriendly and rude if you ask any thing. No idea about customer service whatsoever. Much worse than the hotel staff. So if you book your room without breakfast, you can still eat there, or go to any of the many other restaurants around to eat when the staff do not treat you well. It will give you the option of choice.”
