The hotel closed down for a while for a full refurbishment and I had the chance to stay again at my favourite hotel in town the Solitaire this week. Lobby looks great with a beautiful elephant piece of art right as you step in. Staff...More
I had been here back in 2008 and i found that the rooms, hotel and staff were amazing. I travelled solo at the time and was able to get a room very last minute at a decent rate. The staff were really helpful. I really enjoyed...More
The hotel is old enough. Rooms are big but not as clean as expected. Location is good. Close enough to the MRT. Good family hotel. But the hotel has become too old actually. Staffs are okay. Room service is not up to the mark.

With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
