Solid 4star hotel whilst functional starting to show its age. Staff to me the main asset. Have stayed many times over the years. Shop around for great rates Agoda came up with just over £40 for a night in November which is very competitive considering things are getting busier. Pool area great soi 18 quiet but very close to action. Bell boys and front staff amicable
Nice hotel close to MRT and BTS; about a 10 minute walk! Room was nice and very comfortable. Great views of the Bangkok skyline. Nice breakfast buffet, but mostly western food, only Thai food was a soup booth with choice of noodles and meats. I want Thai food when I am in Thailand! Staff was excellent! Amazing pool!
Guzz welcomed with a smile. On requesting for Upgrade he gave me Terrace Suite for small fees. The Suite had a Terrace with Loungers. Suite had 2 Bathrooms 2 Study areas and ample space for meetings. I was given Executive Lounge access which had drinks and some snacks. Breakfast was good. View from the Suite was nice. Hotel is old but well maintained.
The Rembrandt, fairly centrally situated in Bangkok, within easy walking distance of the Blue metro line at Sukhumvit. The hotel itself looks fairly good on first impressions but it also looks like its in dire need of refurbishment, and was probably ’nice’ 30 years ago but not today. The carpets everywhere look worn and faded, bulbs were either blown or missing in the room, plastic appliances yellowing, and even a phone still by the toilet!! When most other hotels ripped these out over 10 years ago. Rooms are fairly spacious, but old dark wood decor, only the bed headboard looks like its been updated to orange fabric in line with the modern era. Lampshades were cracked and broken, fridges leaked and the tv harked back to early 2010. On our 3 days visit here, we on multiple times spoke to reception who seemed very busy and disinterested in what we were asking. We never once saw a tour agent at the tour desk, although this isn’t run by the hotel. As we were staying during the World Cup, half of the lobby had been sectioned off into a tacky ‘football zone’ which we couldn’t understand why, when there are dozens of bars all within walking distance and all showing the same games with cheaper beer and tonnes more atmosphere. Seemed like a poor attempt to entice guests to stay in the hotel rather than go outside; but just came off as cheap and lowered the already low bar set. That said, breakfast was good with a great range of foods and drink varieties for all people, including a curry and paratha, which was a nice touch. A lot of choice. The 1829 bar was also fantastic with welcoming staff and a great selection of drinks and cocktails. Although the view is somewhat marred by the midriff high barrier, topiary bushes and low slung chairs meaning you cant really see much skyline, probably better to head to the Raddisson or the Bayon Tree for a view. Overall fairly disappointing, especially when there is so much other choice in the spiralling city.…
I am Neelesh here..Once again visited this hotel..Have been staying at this hotel every time whenever I am at Bangkok..This time I faced one issue that of Air-conditioner..We booked two rooms & in both the rooms Air-conditioners were not working..So we asked at reception to do the needful..Inspite of the repairing work by the technicians Air-cons were not helping in cooling..So the reception changed the rooms for us..We moved to two new rooms yet the problem was consistent..Air-cons in new rooms as well were under performing At that time Mr Bee came to our help..He guided us to new rooms & let us check the Air-cons performance for sometime & after we were fully satisfied helped us with our luggage..Really he is such an asset to this hotel..Very Helpful, kind & co-operative employee..Always ready to help you out with a smile..Also special mention for Mr Tor for being kind & helpful..I hope next time when we visit again we will surely not face Air-cons issue..Hotel management will surely look into this matter & solve the problem. Rest everything was fantastic regarding this hotel..Everything is up to the mark & its the best hotel in Sukhumvit area..Eagerly looking forward to stay here again very soon..Regards 😊😊…
Stayed at the Rembrandt hotel situated good spot for sky train etc rooms nice, found the staff very pleasant apart from top floor bar and Indian restaurant the lady who runs the Indian restaurant is very rude it appears unless you were an Indian you were not welcome or that’s how it appears to me, also must say do not eat or drink at the hotel prices are extortionate if you want a beer there suggest take out a mortgage, more expensive than London prices, do not fall for happy hr it’s anything but, so as long as you do not eat or drink there good hotel
We had a very good experience here. I was traveling with my 2 friends. We arrived very late to the hotel. We were greeted by very friendly employees that helped us with checking in and escorting us to our room. We got a room with 3 single beds. They were very comfortable. Everything was clean. We ate at their Mexican restaurant which was very tasty. Spent some time out at the pool which was also very nice.
wonderful hotel, with really nice and helpful staff. tor and bang have been a great help in arranging trips! fantastic service, incredibly sweet and helpful. the place can only be recommended! and fantastic bar on top of the hotel. charming staff
We stayed here for 5 nights in a 2 bed suite with our 3 children at the end of October. The suite was large with comfortable beds and great views from the 33rd floor. The air con stopped working in one of the rooms and they moved us straight away to an identical suite. The decor is a bit dated though. The pool is lovely with a good bar and the food in the Mexican restaurant was very good. Plenty of shops, restaurants and massage places nearby and easy to access the sky train and underground.
Tor, B and the beloved colleagues have a very good hospitality and advise on customer requested at anytime. Very comfortable with the environment even after their work, they will assist to the max with no excuses
