We stayed for just one night, having flown into Bangkok to meet up, en route for Laos. The room was very well appointed, and benefitted from my favourite thing, a bathtub with plenty of hot water on tap. The room had a safe, which is always welcome. The staff were very helpful about all kinds of things. Good breakfast, too.

Stayed here for 2 nights, once at the start of our trip and once at the end. Good: excellent value. For not much more than a hostel, you get a clean room, nice bed, excellent bathroom with toiletries, and a delicious breakfast. Wonderful costumer service; very polite. Staff speak English, and can help you with navigating the city on to...

A decent hotel. Nice and convenient location. Reasonable service. Very near to Cowboy street(See pic). Many Massage Centers around this place. Close ASOKE hotel. Cons: Very old hotel. Smell at the corridors and in the rooms are not good. They need to give good attention on the smell part.

The hotel is not very well-known but taxi drivers should be able to get you there is you tell them that it is beside the red light district; cowboy. The place is accessible via BTS and MRT. Massage places available right outside. Good food is available around the corner too.

Although "upgraded" in a large, I was very disappointed by this hotel. It has not been renovated since it has been built in the 70ies (?) : carpets, bathroom (moisture everywhere), furniture even the towels seem to be old !!!! Besides, there is loud music from the street, so you can't rest after a long flight. Good buffet compared to...

Since my long-time favourite the Viengtai is still undergoing renovations and is yet to metamorphose as the Khaosan Ibis Viengtai, I stayed here on transit as it is near to where family friends live. Situated down Soi 23 off Sukhumvit the hotel is a little tired but everything worked. The hotel is about 50 meters from Soi Cowboy but in...

Everyday after exploring Bangkok we go home to our spacious Superior Room that feels and smells clean, with all our used clothes down to our used bath gels neatly arranged. Our complimentary water is always being restocked once consumed whenever I peek in the fridge. The TV & Wi-fi are properly working and the airconditioning is perfectly adjustable. We always...

I checked in as a solo traveler on Sunday and upon entering my room couldn't help but notice how dingy and dirty everything was- the grout of the tiles in the bathroom were black with grime, there were stains on the wood floors, my sheets were dirty when I came into the room- the list goes on. On top of...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
