Had a lovely evening at Vertigo! Great efforts by the staff and wonderful experience. Big thanks to Dhee and Fluke for arranging the entire setup; really appreciate it. Fantastic 360° view as well along with amazing food.
Really disappointing stay at the Banyan Tree. I’ve stayed at most of the top branded hotels in Bangkok and this comes out near the bottom. Worst breakfast buffet I’ve ever experienced and no turn down…not 5 star! Won’t be staying at this property again.
Decided to celebrate my mum’s birthday at Vertigo rooftop and moon bar. Little did I expect the service here to be top notch. The waiter, Oat, who served us throughout the dinner was exceptional and he has very sharp situational awareness the entire time. It was also observed that he treated other guests here the same too. Excellent customer service from Oat which made the entire dinner enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely be back again!
Stayed 3 nights in the Banyan Tree. Great hotel with very spacious rooms and good facilities. Best of all were the wonderful staff, especially Suksan up in the Spa area on the 21st floor and the gregarious, and best-dressed, charming Mr Wat at the front-of-house, Will definitely stay here mext time.
We checked in to Banyan Tree Bangkok on the back end of our 2 week trip to Thailand. This is our 4th time visiting the Land of Smiles and our 3rd visit to Banyan Tree(previous reviews posted). As before, we opted to stay in a Serenity Club Suite. Although an additional expense, we knew what service we could expect and thought it would have been worth it. How wrong we were! As the club lounge was closed, we were checked in at the main reception, along with all the other guests. No special treatment given, not even a welcome drink. As we checked in after 3pm, we were offered some afternoon tea, as part of the club lounge offering. Unfortunately this was not up to the standards we have experienced in the past. We were offered 3 canapés which consisted of tinned tuna, bruschetta and chocolate cake. Pre covid, the afternoon tea offered such a wide variety so we were disappointed from the outset by this woeful offering. Our room was as expected and to credit Banyan Tree, was great. Spacious suite and still one of the comfiest beds we have slept in when on holiday. The evening canapés and drinks in the lobby lounge was the major disappointment of the stay. The canapés offered/brought to the table, consisted of 4 fish dishes. One of which was a crab stick in a shot glass! Again our expectations of being offered a wide variety of canapés to keep you hunger at bay were gone. The ambience was poor and you could tell we were in a hotel lobby. I see no reason why the club lounge could not be opened, using a QR code to offer guests multiple canapés to choose from. Or even following a similar set up to how they serve breakfast i.e masks and gloves worn etc. The staff throughout the hotel were great, the bar tenders on the evening were friendly and tried to please all guests as quickly as possible. I did have to catch their eye a couple of times to request another drink. Again something we didn’t have to do in previous stays. We checked out the morning later and were offered breakfast boxes by the hotel. These were waiting at reception when we were leaving and had no complaints. Overall - this visit unfortunately did not live up to the level of service we have expected in the past. My previous 5 star reviews of the hotel would support this. I appreciate changes need to be made to support/manage C19, however other hotels are offering a club room service now and managing to still provide an excellent service and experience. I think our next visit to Thailand/Bangkok, our reservation will be going to another hotel.…
We as a couple stayed at the BanyanTree for 4 nights on 4th-8th May 2022 in a Serenity Club room. Pick-up from airport was well managed,so to was the personal check-in at our suite. The room was excellent with stunning rooms and all utilities in room were very good. We had a club room.Unfortunately the club rooms lounge was closed! We had to have our drinks and evening canapés in lounge reception area. The canapés were awful, and not worth the added expense of the club room cost. We were shoved into a corner of lounge area! For 2 nights out of the 4,our canapés food offer was just 2 small crab sticks per person, and 2 small tuna cakes per person…no other choice! If you wanted more, you had to ask….really disgusting for a club room food offer. The bar person was severely under pressure on one night due to locals arriving at hotel…if you could manage to get 2 drinks within the 2 hours, you were lucky! Breakfast was a joke…because club lounge was closed, you had to take breakfast in normal hotel breakfast area! You have to wear masks to enter, then put on a pair of plastic gloves to serve your self. One morning a delegation walked into breakfast(about 40 people)…no social distancing possible…this was not good safety standards…..the hotel says on one hand to abide by Covid safety rules, masks, gloves, social distancing…then decide to let 40 delegates into breakfast like a load of locusts……what a joke! Where is the special treatment for club guests I wonder! The staff are very good at hotel, but it is not well managed by the management! Our bill was messed up on check-out,they tried to charge us for a free saffron dinner!!! Although a nice hotel….I would not stay here again,I felt ripped off by the club room and “it’s Non Special treatment”. Stay somewhere else with better value and more thought for customers. The management will prob reply to this and say…”we hope you come back to experience a better time”….all words!!! BanyanTree…you had your chance, and you blew it!!!!!…
Water facilities in the room was old and hotel seems to be understaffed due to the negative impact on travel industry. Hotel staffs could not reply back to my queries finally. Famous Rooftop remains great. Other than this, not worth staying because there are better hotels with more inexpensive price in BKK.
Had 2 reservations back to back with them on a club room Saw them giving a hand cream to guests that checked out which is a nice gesture. Requested that after my first reservation check out but they told me to wait till my final check out and I will be given that. On check out day, wasn’t offered the hand cream as well. As my wife really wanted the hand cream, I dropped them an email to ask if they can send it to our next hotel across the road or if we can come over to pick it up. Didn’t even bother to respond. And thus, this feedback is well deserved Also, tried booking for exercise classes through concierge and lady was rather unhelpful and didn’t seem to know what’s going on. Other than that, location is good, the muaythai and exercise class instructors were fantastic. Breakfast also good.…
Me and my girlfriend arrived at Banyan Tree to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. On arrival we decided to hit the gym for a quick workout. I was working Muay Thai on the bag when a friendly staff member called CK offered to give me some technique tips and worked with me on the pads. He decided to do this and brought refreshing pomelo to recover. CK is super friendly and super knowledgeable with over 50 fights experience. These little details make your stay special so thankyou to CK, for the attention!
What a hospitality! Every employee is very friendly and helpful. They all look up when you pass by, smile and say something nice! We have felt very welcome. We had dinner at Vertigo on the 62nd floor. Wooooow what a view! As a free service, they took and printed a great photo of us! What a surprise! We had plans to go to a museum. Since their service is excellent and the view from our room (47th floor) and the pool (21st floor) is great too, we stayed in the hotel the whole time. We booked one night and loved every minute of it. Very highly recommended!!!!
