The hotel was ok. Nothing to complain about. The roof top bar was the highlight for us. It's quite an experience to sit in a bar so high up with no roof. One level down we enjoyed some live music by a woman with a lovely voice.

So I spent quite a while searching for hotels in BKK, as there is so much choice and competition. Anyway, I made the best choice possible :) This was our first stay in a Banyan Tree hotel, and it surpassed our expectations. Service was impeccable, the club floor (19th floor) was more than worth the extra cost - they serve...

My husband and I went on the Aspara dinner cruise in mid-January 2017. Despite the total chaos at the riverfront with many boats leaving at around the same time, we were pleasantly surprised at how relaxing, quite, and serene our Aspara cruise was. The food was great. The service was superb. The river is gorgeous at night-- such a beautiful...

My husband and I arrived in Bangkok after 38 hours of travel from Oregon and the Banyan Tree was just what we needed! The hotel is beautiful! We were warmly greeted by their staff with a delicious welcome drink. We sat and enjoyed our drink while they checked us in. The room was spacious, clean, and gorgeous with a wonderful...

We had a great stay on this hotel. The suite room was nice comfortable and large. Even if the registration was little bit to long on executive floor we appreciated the size of the room. Executive floor gave a good free service even if the decor of dining room is little bit ... to much dining room! The spa and...

We were met at the airport in one of their BMW 7 series, which was money well spent after an 11 hour flight from London (Thai Airlines is great by the way). We were greeted like royalty, given a wrist garland and whisked to the check in lounge, where we were served a refreshing drink while we checked in. We...

We decided to stay one day and night in Banyan Tree Bangkok before going to Banyan Tree Samui. We arrived at 8am and knew that it might be a problem regarding getting early access to a room. We had paid for the club lounge room and got taken to the 19th floor to check in. They suggested that we take...

We stayed on the Club Floor and were very glad we paid the extra. Very friendly staff all over the hotel. Walking distance to Patpong night market. 7 eleven just down the road. Taxi to the airport cost 350 baht plus tolls of about 150 baht. Breakfast included on the 19th floor with excellent and plentiful choices. Afternoon tea as...

We stayed at the Oriental Residence the week prior to staying in this property and I thought going to a huge hotel such as this might come with a reduced level of attention or service, but I was totally wrong. Banyan Tree Bangkok is IMPECCABLE when it comes to service, perhaps the best hotel in terms of staff care and...

Just spent 5 days at this hotel over New Year with family and friends. Absolutely fantastic! it is expensive but you are paying for luxury which is what you get. The only slight negative point is that the pool is lovely but doesn't get the sun for long, but when you are in Bangkok there is too much other things...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
