This place is quite calm and good for stay in Bangkok. Should admit the staff is quite friendly and the rooms are very good maintained. We got upgraded to a suite which was very nice and big, sleep quality was good. Food is also nice as they have Chef making some great pasta.

Go on a Friday, it's Much more relaxed and quieter on Friday as for some reason it's advertised as a Weekend only event, it is however on Friday Saturday and Sunday. We first visited 8 years ago, the buffet seems to have gotten better whilst the hotel has aged, don't we all!! This is not a bad thing, I hate...

We love this hotel for its classic charm, amazing service, outstanding cuisine, very comfortable beds, quiet and green property. Really very high class. Sukhothai feels being our second home and no comparison versus many other 5 stat hotels. You feel really being a VIP guest by personalized service from the very polite staff. Nice seeing every year the same kind...

We stayed for a long period (10 nights) on January 2017. The hotel was recommended by friends as it has some green area around and it's not simply a large/tall building like most hotels in Bangkok. We enjoyed our stay and we would highlight the following even if there are some things that could be improved: 1. Rooms are good,...

This review is based on a four-night stay in December. I've been a Sukhothai regular for many years, and wrote about the property at length in an earlier review. Overall, while the hotel isn't quite at its peak of 10-15 years ago, it's still an outstanding property that offers excellent value for money, and most of the minor problems I...

Great service, food and standard. Location a bit away from everything but good consider the traffic..Try the pizza in La Scala, could go back just for that one. Ok prices, though breakfast is not included, if you make up that price at arrival its about 50 e per day for 2 ppl, otherwise it adds up when checking out. Will...

I stayed in Sukhotai Hotel for a week and it was amazing. The bedroom is spacious and the bed so comfortable. The pool area is lovely even if surrounded by high buildings, they made a very nice environment you forget your are in the middle of the city. The Italian restaurant was delicious. I had dinner one night with my...

OK I just joined Tripadvisor to write this. And I declare an interest as it's my 6th stay. But the Sukhothai Bangkok is just amazing. If what you seek is bland faceless high rise concrete and glass modernity then stop reading now. Because you won't get it at the Sukhothai. If you want incredibly friendly service, amazing Thai food, a...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
