This is our fourth stay at the hotel, the first time we went was around 1999 and they still know how to make you feel special. From the personal check in all services provided are excellent, you are made to you are the only guests that matter to them. From the setting to the comfort of your room and the...

My husband and I have stayed at a few MOs all around the world and have always been impressed. The kindness/level of service of the staff is beyond compare and this location is perhaps the pinnacle of all MOs. Everyone was so helpful with restaurant reservations, directions and tips for points of interest. We had dinner at three of the...

Your trip to Bangkok (and even the whole of Thailand) hasn't been complete if you haven't stayed at this iconic hotel. Great atmosphere, perfect riverside location, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, I could go on... The best hotel I have ever stayed it. We went for a family wedding there and we travelled with an elderly who couldn't walk any long distance, we decided to stay at MO so she doesn't have to travel around. I've stated that we might need a wheelchair when we arrive and also some other requests, the hotel responded nicely and after we arrived, everyone was so nice...

What impressed me and I enjoyed the most was the beautiful swimming pool (which I had all to myself on the day I visited) -- perfect for swimming laps in a luxurious, tropical setting. To be honest, I could have stayed in the pool all day long and considered the trip a huge success, but then I would have missed...

It's without question a wonderful hotel with perfect service and amenities (we loved the afternoon tea at authors lounge!) Only one thing that irritated us: The hotel keeps birds in small cages in their garden. Did not understand why a five-star hotel in the 21st century treats animals like that (especially in Thailand)

We were fortunate enough to dine at Ciao on the terrace at the mandarin Oriental . From the moment we sat down the whole wonderful experience began. We were welcomed like long lost friends, the chef came over to talk to us and was so attentive, The food was fabulous and we can't wait to go back.

My stay felt magical, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff was great, the service was great. Staying here was a perfect opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals. There wasn't one room in the hotel that was not my least favorite.

The lobby is a lovely spot. The lobby provides liver entertainment sometimes. The Lord Jim restaurant is very good indeed, especially for seafood. The service is excellent and the view of the river is a treat.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
