Great location and a great hotel. I have stayed in this hotel several times and love it. Love the door men who always meet you with a great smile and warm welcome. Staff are always accommodating and the hotel offers a great breakfast. Rooms are a little old in decor but spacious and always clean. Across the road from Patpong...

I stayed at the Montien Hotel in June 2011. The definite pro of this hotel is it location. A minute walk to patpong rd for the night market allows you to not worry about the hassle of taking a taxi at night. In addition, you can easily walk to the subway (at the end of patpong) or down to the...

Please note this is a review of the Ruenton Coffeeshop restaurant at The Montien hotel, it is NOT a review of the hotel itself... On the eve of the national elections in Thailand two friends and I found ourselves roaming the streets of Bangkok, desperate to find a restaurant still open at 11pm despite the official interdiction to serve alcohols...

We stayed here on our offsite meet.....good hotel....a typical business hotel. Good breakfast. Nice large rooms. Very close to Patpong....but we didnt like the location too much as most of us were only girls - so getting out in the night felt a little uncomfortable. But overall, good hotel although a little on the steep side.

At first you step out of the car you are greeted by a fun and friendly bell man. Never without a smile and happy to help any way they can. The limo drivers are also very friendly. Reception staff could use a few more smiles but very efficient and always welcoming. Decent sized room and always kept clean. Great variety...

We have just returned after spending 5 nights at the Montien Hotel. This is our 6th stay at tbis hotel. Although the hotel is a little tired, it is extremely clean and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The location of the hotel is fantastic, Pat Pong markets is right at the door step,...

Youve got to love this hotel and the people, from the doormen to the waitresses everyone was so nice and friendly, the rooms were superb and beautifully cleaned we even had swans on our bed on a couple of occasions! the hotel is opposite the notorious patpong market, not for the faint hearted but great fun, once you get used...

We stayed for 3 nights on our way back to the UK from Australia. The hotel is from a bygone era and could do with a good clean but not necessarily any modernisation as that would spoil its charm. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the wood-panelled corridor to our room and a telephone on the wall just...

The rooms are ok, the value is average (mini bar and laundry are expensive in particular) and some of the staff are really lovely. The lady at the pool bar was so nice she almost made up for the over priced food and drinks. My problem is the poorly trained and mannered security staff. During our stay (my Thai Partner...

This was stage 2 of our 3 island hop. 5 day city break in Bangkok and what a hotel to stay in! Arrived at reception from our airport transfer to be met by a slightly eccentric bloke who I found amusing. Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
