We had a very well-appointed room, very comfortable. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and all nicely presented and tasty. Staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Ratsak, the major domo, is a real character. The location is good for nightlife. Plenty of tour operators come to the hotel to offer...

I had a standard 'single' room on the 12th floor in the North Wing. Room was fine, not the most modern but not old either. Not large but was comfortable with good quality matresses, good room lighting and controls, good air-con. Had all the standard facilities in the room that one would expect at this price range. View was over...

When I entered the lobby, I feel back to 70's. The key room still used key with bell shape key chain. The guest room also still used old furniture and the bed not in good condition. In the front of this hotel, we can find mini store and in the night there is Pat Pong bar street. Good location, but...

Stayed here overnight with my wife. Room was clean and well presented, but corridors were tired and in need of sprucing up. Tried dining, but was dissapointed in quality of food and price. Staff were efficient and good. Really convenient to patpong night market and monorail.

We spent 3 nights here which was perfect for what we wanted. The rooms need to refurbished but the hotel itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. Best breakfast of the all the properties we stayed in. Great location close to Patpong Markets and the train stations. A good place to be for touring around Bangkok. The staff were always friendly...

We have just returned from a 2 week trip with our dad who had travelled to lay a wreath on his friend's grave with whom he was a Japanese POW. We stayed at the Montien twice, once for 5 days and once for 2. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and always willing to lend a hand with...

Good location as long as you look away from nudie bars across the road. Lots of friendly staff, big rooms, comfy beds, also close to both the underground to go to the weekend market and the btr. right across road from pat pong night market which is a bit expensive but okay as long as you can put up with...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
