location is in the heart of Bangkok China town, one of the busiest walking food street in Bangkok. Great place to spend night time. Hotel has great view, no blocking view from the surrounding. Overlooking the grand palace and Chaopraya river. Convenient to reach many tourist attractions. Finally, must try delicious Chinese restaurant on 8th floor!!

Conveniently by Chinatown and Sampeng market. Starbucks and food court below. Excellent to stay when traveling with young children. Hotel room old and small but bearable when you're out of hotel often and just using it as a base. View and atmosphere at the 360 sky lounge upstairs recommended for day and night.

We have just stayed at the Grand China. It is in a great location for shopping or out for food, as it is at a busy junction it is nice to just sit in the restaurant downstairs and people watch too if walking around gets a bit too much! Walking distance to temples We stayed for 2 nights which was...

Just a short step out to street-side atmosphere and eateries and close by markets, gold stores and to the river with it's abundance of ferries. The room was clean and spacious, the included breakfast fantastic...especially if you love an omelette with your Thai food and the staff were helpful and friendly. The pool on the 23rd floor is tiny, don't...

First off do not book through Hotels.com, they show false photos of what is really present in outdated rooms! The WiFi did not work after repeatedly calling front desk/operator. Then hot water did not work until having to call maintenance to come to room and adjust. Tried to get two nights back after refusing to stay and was not granted...

We had a large suite for a family of 4. Dated room, however friendly and helpful staff. It actually has a decent breakfast and there are shops within the building. Location is good for wandering Chinatown markets at night. Rooftop pool have great views and the pool is nice but small. Overall a decent hotel for a few nights.

Stayed here for 3 nights while in Bangkok, it is in a great position, just near Sampeng walk with lots of interesting shopping for all kinds of nicknacks, it is a very long lane and it leads to little India with lots of material shops. It is on the corner of Yarowat street in China Town, lots of restraunts, very...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
