We stayed at the Amari Watergate twice in May, with a trip to Chiang Mai in between. We have been several times before, this was the first post-covid trip we had managed. Both of these current stays were wonderful, it really is a magnificent place to stay. The staff were all very professional and helpful. On our first stay, the Executive Lounge on the 32nd floor was stiff not open post-covid, however, there was an excellent replacement area on the fourth floor. There, Wat and Daya were both excellent in helping us out, and provided a professional service. On our second stay, the 32nd floor lounge had just opened, and it was wonderful to make use of it again for our stay. In both stays, we were assisted by the wonderful Patty from Customer Services, and Anko, the Food and Beverage Manager. Both were great in helping us, and we are very grateful to them both, and all the staff for their help. The Amari itself is the place to stay in Bangkok in our view. Close enough to the bustle, but also removed enough to avoid too many crowds. The level of comfort and service is excellent. We look forward to returning very soon.…
There was a good variety and the food tasted great. The staff was very well trained, friendly, polite and the service was amazing. Loved the chocolate fountain 😍 Good place to enjoy with friends and family.
We arrived at 11:30 in the evening, check in was smooth, with Agoda booking on file. I liked this hotel, but it was typically busy with many people from the middle eastern region. Situated in a good spot, with street markets over the road for many types of food. Nice walk on elevated walkway to Sukhumvit Rd and BTS. Nearest station Chitlom. Booked an extra night through Agoda, and was no issue with staff. Checkout was smooth, and bell boy found us a taxi to go to Sai Mai (not an easy task as most taxis want to stay local).
The Amari Watergate is the best Hotel to stay in Bangkok. The Location is perfect for all your shopping needs. We have been coming back to the Amari Watergate for many years now and is always a great place to stay. We stayed in the newly renovated Executive Suite that was amazing. This year we came to celebrate my birthday and I got an unexpected surprise treat for the Hotel staff. The breakfast was excellent as always together with all the club benefits. We had the privilege to be welcomed by Patty and since we arrived she took great care of us and made our stay even more special, together with her colleagues S.B and WAT. We also had the privilege to have met the GM Sukamal Mondal, the Food & Beverage Director Anko Timmer and Sunakshi Mahendru the Social Media Manager. We have to congratulate the GM and his great team that made our stay more memorable. All the way from South Africa.…
Thank you Ms. Pim and Ms. Tiky for helping me with the check in. Good service, polite and understanding. And fantastic location for shopping at platinum mall. Breakfast buffet have a variety of food and the room is clean and neat.
We stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok this is our first time in this hotel, the room is very nice and comfortable. The staff very kind and polite especially MS. PIM she is very helpful. Thank you so much.
It’s was super positive until the moment that we had to do the check out because we found out that there was a mistake and you forgot to charge us one day. We decided to pay our TOTAL amount before our check out date. We went to the reception, paid an amount, we confirmed minimum 3 times that it was all, that we didn’t need to pay ANYTHING anymore . The answer was always an extremely friendly (like all the staff ) yes, absolutely. I even asked again on the next day. On our check out date I was expecting just to pay our extra room service but I was totally shocked to find out the mistake and had to pay the day that was missing. After explaining the entire situation what I heard was just a It was our mistake (not as friendly as it was during our entire stay). Just don’t expect a lot from the breakfast, it was everyday the same. The pouched eggs were cooked before and when I ordered they just warmed on a pot of hot water. For us it was okay because the location is really good so we had went to Starbucks or 7-eleven and bought something, not a big problem. The room service food was really delicious and it came super fast. I am just sad that after such amazing days, I had this problem. All the other departments (cleaning, security, lobby staff, room service…) were amazing.…
It’s located at the heart of city With mall and market at walking distance , very helpful staff, average but clean and well maintained room, The hotel was understaffed compare to the booking it had, average food quality with very less vegetarian options.
We stayed for 4 nights (inclusive of the first day Test and Go package) during the Good Friday weekend. We had stayed here multiple times pre-covid, and wanted to book a SHA+ hotel that we trust as a safer option during covid period, and for our first trip after 2 years of covid lockdown. The Test and Go was fuss free, picking us up in a van from the airport straight to the hospital for PCR test in the van, and directly to the hotel for check in and quarantine. We had to call the reception after 8 hours to find out our PCR results, instead of being informed soon after the result was out at about 4-5 hours after the test (from the time printed on the test report). Glad the Test and Go is now off the travel requirement from May, and would be a lot easier for our next visit to Bangkok. The Deluxe twin room that we had was dated (we know that they had refurbished rooms but this was not one of it) and a little dusty around the corners of the room and bathroom. There were some mini flies (dead and alive) in the room and bathtub. Housekeeping seemed overwhelm with only 1 lady to service the entire level. Towels were left as a pile on the bed, and the replenished amenities were left scattered over the bathroom countertop. They ran out of body wash and lotion on our 3rd and 4th day, but still took away the unfinished body wash left from the first 2 days (which is still mostly full), and we had to make do with just shampoo and conditioner. The water pressure in the shower was great, a comfort to wash and cool down after a whole day out in the Thailand heat. The beds were comfortable for a good night sleep. 4 glass bottles of water were provided each day, but was missed out on our second day. Breakfast selection was good with many choices available, although service was rather hectic. The location is good, just across the Platinum mall and the sky bridge that connects to Central World, Erawan Shrine, Big C, Siam, etc. Convenience shops (7-11) are just down the road, or across at Platinum mall, so we could easier get our snacks and water supply. It is great to be able to travel to Bangkok again, and the excitement of it overshadows everything and did not dampen our hotel experience. I would love to visit again and I really hope for Amari to step up on the housekeeping and maintenance of the rooms.…
The best of Bangkok. From the 1st day we set foot at Amari it was a most welcoming experience. The checkjn was smooth and fast. We entered the room and had the most amazing view of city lights. All the staff were amazing from Managers to housekeeping. Big big thank you to Pop, Patty, Tem, Kane and everyone were extremely kind and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay
