Past Guests have repeatedly noted the fine service of the Executive Lounge staff at this hotel. We stayed here for 6 nights and unfortunately did not get to experience this level of service, mainly because the lounge is literally maniacally chaotic, especially on weekends when local weekenders come in. In fact, lounge management has to designate 2 separate seatings for cocktail hour in the evenings. I witnessed multiple tables with plates piled high and not cleared promptly. We went there 2 separate evenings and never returned afterwards, it was such an awful scene with ZERO chance of relaxation, children everywhere, utter pandemonium. As a Titanium Elite, there was no upgraded room. In fact, the Executive Floor rooms do not match the website pictures, with space so small that you have to turn sideways to move around the writing desk and the edge of the bed. Commodes in the bathroom are fit only for a hobbit as your knees would jam into the glass shower wall in front of you and you hit your head as you stand back up. The pool is quite small for a property of this size and easily gets crowded. The crowning glory of this hotel has got to be the amazing breakfast buffet in the cafe, with multiple local ethnic food stations, a crepe station, an omelet station, fresh juice station, noodle bar, even an ice cream station. As often as I've been to Asia where this is quite common, the JWM Bangkok still stands out. The location is quite convenient between the Nana and Ploem Chit stations on the BTS Sukhumvit line.…
My stay at the JW Marriott Bangkok reminds me on why the Marriott brand continues to be my hotel of choice for business and vacation travel. I need to pay a big thank you to the staff in the executive lounge. Nok, Khwan, Aong, Jeen, Jimmy, Tee and of course the very special Tukta. Also many thanks to Beer in concierge. Amazing support from arranging PCR tests, assisting in flight changes etc. It’s difficult to describe the level of assistance and friendless of all staff and it’s a credit to the hotel for having this level of personnel working for them. Although my stay was only 7 days I come across across some truly amazing staff and I’m looking forward to my next visit. Thank you so much. Mat
Carpark: The parking for motorbikes is full, I need to park a little bit outside for the parking lot. At the main entrance, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The greeting was polite and very attentive. Check IN was like too many people, I need to wait on the LINE. They still maint tain the standard. I have no problem with this. The room was very modern, newly renovated, and functional. I love it. The swimming pool was fine, my daughter loved it. I was impressed with the Fitness Centre Receptionist. I went there with my daughter, 8-year-olds, I cannot follow her to the female locker. The staff went inside and took care her for me, showering and getting dressed. The Breakfast was fantastic with many selections of food even for a vegetarian as well as me. My family admired it for sure. Breakfast was excellent and no questions at all. I also tried the Chinese Restaurant. The test of the food was delectable and tasty as per JW Standard. We loved it. However, at the Manho, when I finished the meal, I requested a copy of my bill for reference. It was the wrong room number given to me. The staff was asking me to wait for a while to bring me a new and correct one. I was amazed. She just handed it to me and not said sorry for the wrong bill and my waiting time as a courtesy. She just handed it to me and gone, nothing said from her. Check OUT was fine and smooth as silk, nothing to worry about it.…
We are half way through an exceptional stay and just had to write a review now. The hotel is lovely, clean, modern, and beautifully appointed. The location is also wonderful. In the executive lounge we have had perfect service, great, food, and delicious drinks. May, Nok, and Nan, in particular, have been very attentive and helpful. We fully recommend.
We were here on long stay on business. Hotel was very quiet due to covid but staff was amazing and really appreciate their smiles and enthusiasm despite the difficult times. Hotel is a little old but rooms are refurbished recently so it’s fairly modern and comfortable. Food was the highlight with teppanyaki at Tsu-Nami one of the best in bangkok. Will look to stay again when back in bangkok
We went back to the JW for my birthday in February - sorry the review is late - and wanted just to redress the balance from our previous, less-than-excellent experience when first back in Thailand last November. This time the service was excellent, consistent and consideration was given to us to reflect our relative 'status' (hate that word, can't though find a better one) in the Bonvoy system. We'd not expected a suite as we know the hotel is 'full' of long-term guests but the manager on duty managed to release one for us and we had a lovely time as a result... and thank you for the decorations on the bed reminding me just how old I had become :-). Those who know the JW will also know that the Lounge is the highlight and this time was no exception. There were a lot of folks around from overseas - mainly the US - but they coped well and the service was very attentive... from what I recall having been squiffy on both visits, which is what one wants at the JW on one's birthday. We raided the BBCO on the way home as well, and that in itself is a little gem that seems to be coming back to its former glories. Thanks for getting back on an even keel JW and we'll be back for our anniversary next month.…
Good place and great hospitality from the staff especially k.emmy (chutikarn) at the executive lounge, she is willing to do everything to please us. The variety of foods doesn’t not vary much (compare to my last visit) but the quality of the food is good.
I stayed here twice - once in mid March for Test and Go and the second time was in mid April on the night before flying out of BKK. 1. Test and Go. Driver met me at BKK and drove me to MedPark Hospital. I had the expedited PCR test without getting out of the SUV and received the negative result about 1 hour later. I didn't even have time for a nap. Went to the Exec Lounge and had an excellent buffet dinner with unlimited alcohol. 2. Night before flying out of BKK. Was upgraded to a Junior Suite (Lifetime Marriott Platinum) and had the same dinner and booze. Excellent. Did a Zoom with Denver, CO at 0030h - very fast internet. Checked out at 4am. Bellman got me a taxi to BKK for 500B. He also gave me card with the taxi number in case I forgot anything. It cost $113 and would have included a magnificent Buffet Breakfast. Instead they gave me a Brown Bag Breakfast without my asking for it. I would be crazy to stay anywhere else.…
