Found this place while looking for a cheap one night deal for my favourite Bangkok hotel. The Lotus was really cheap, so I looked it up on TA and found that the lobby was supposed to smell like a sewer. This piqued my interest and I decided that I needed to stay in the sewerage hotel. Don't worry, I'm not...

I always stay one night on arrival to Thailand and one or two nights prior to departure. I have found it very good value for money. In a great location for access to train, shops, and restaurants. The staff have always been welcoming and efficient, with the doormen even remembering my name. Will continue to use the hotel for stopovers...

Been handed down from Novotel, the Lotus has seen better days. A dark lobby, musty rooms, small gym, small pool; really not much to write home about except for its location. Soi 33, one of the more notorious Sois in Bangkok. Lots of bars, restaurants and close to BTS, it is quite a happening spot. If you dont care much...

The hotel is located near the Phrom Phong BTS Station (3-4 minutes walking distance) from where you can reach any destination in Bangkok. Bang opposite the BTS Station is the Emporium Shopping Centre which has good shopping and food options. There are multiple eating joints (both local and international) around the hotel. There is a 7-Eleven convenience store 1 min...

My first impression was not that great. Going up to the elevator, noticed how dirty the floor was. My room was satisfactory and was just happy to finally get into bed after long day of travel. But then I noticed my first crawling critter and the second night also. That being said, the bed was great, housekeeping excellent. Internet slow...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
