The sheer elegance and charm of this uber high-end hotel give you the sense you are living in a dream of a courtly palace. The architecture and design are imaginative and amazingly beautiful. Fabulous objects of art and antiques provide visual and intellectual beauty at every turn. You don't walk around the courts, tiers, and walkways so much as flow...

The Siam takes luxury to a new level with its over-the-top design and art deco bygone-era chic. Yet the hotel is subtle in execution where it needs to be - intimate lantern lighting on the private boat landing dock which creates a romantic quiet mood in the evening, and warm, friendly service in the hotel restaurant. Our Pool Villa Riverview...

I've been to Bangkok over half a dozen times. Stayed at the Peninsula, St. Regis, Mandarin Oriental, etc etc. I sell luxury travel as a business, so I understand what makes a 'good' hotel. The Siam is beyond good - it's great - and I'd say that (arguably) it is the world's best urban oasis. It's not just the hard...

My husband and I spent three nights at the Siam hotel recently. What a fantastic property along the Chao Phraya River! The Siam has provided a luxury retreat in Bangkok, as they have thought of every item to make a visit to Thailand complete. From the accommodations that feature local artifacts, a pool in the courtyard and spacious bathroom, along...

The rooms and facilities are beautiful. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. Food is delicious and fresh. The location is quite tricky but if you can, take the boat shuttle, it's normally a lot faster than a car. I recommend this place for anyone.

We stayed at the Siam in late September 2016 and without a doubt, it was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. From our arrival at nearly 11pm to our departure 3 days later the staff of the Siam took care of every detail asked of them and more. We were met each morning by Sumet at breakfast...

Very clean and friendly hotel. Room is very large and comfortable. The beds are comfortable too. The staffs are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. We had fresh eggs cooked anyway you want, bacon, ham, and turkey sausage, variety of fruits, potatoes, beans, potato soup, noodles and bacon, that is about half of what they had. It was...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in late October 2016. We stayed in a Siam suite for 2 nights and had a great time. The atmosphere at the hotel is peaceful and tranquil and acts as a nice contrast to the noisy chaos of Bangkok. The room itself was beautiful and extremely comfortable and it comes with a...

This was our second visit to The Siam, our first two months ago in August where everything was perfect. During our first visit we had an excellent dinner for 5 at Chon as well as a superb couples session at the spa. On our second visit, we arrived around 9.30pm on Thursday 27th Oct after an unusually long transfer from...

Pure class - spent the weekend at the Siam and struggled to leave the hotel, there are a lot of BIG hotels on the river which feel a little impersonal, not at the Siam - its much smaller, more friendly and the service is exceptional - A special mention to K Bon who seemed to appear as if by magic...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
