Booked to stay here as the first 4 night leg our our honeymoon. It was supposed to be the reasonably priced busy part of the honeymoon, nothing fancy, just somewhere to stay while we did the touristy bit. But wow, we were so surprised by how luxurious it was. We were picked up at the airport and chauffeur driven to...

Fantastic property in the heart of the city overlooking Lumphini Park. Their breakfast is an experience with the a hip lounge vibe and open air space. K, one of their concierge, is v knowledgeable and great to talk to. The 28th floor lounge/club is open for kids if you are staying with them. Great views everywhere including from the pool.

This was my second stay at Sofitel So, Bangkok and it was equally as brilliant as the first. Unwinding in their 10th floor swimming pool, which offers some stunning views of Bangkok is a must & the club lounge hospitality of Geo and Paul was exemplary. Thank you once again Sofitel So; I look forward to checking-in again soon!

The hotel has mixed success with its attempts at various trendy design features. We stayed in a Wood theme suite overlooking Lumpini Park, with a design that was understated and relaxing. Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
