Smile Society Hostel, is the hostel that you would like to stay if you are a backpacker and looking for a nice place and on a budget trip... Besides the cleanliness of the place, another thing I am looking for in an accommodation is the service. They helped us book our tickets (discounted ;-) ) to witness their amazing and...

I stayed at Smile Society for 2 nights in the first week of October. When I first arrived at the hostel, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had been upgraded to a room with an en suite toilet! ( I had initially booked a room with a common toilet) location of the hostel was great, being only...

Good room, comfortable beds, great free breakfast, and a very helpful owner who assisted us in retrieving some lost luggage from the airport when it was finally located. It's also very close to a nightly street market where you can get great street food for cheap.

This hostel sets the gold standard in customer service! They were so efficient from our initial inquiry, to making sure we had everything we needed our stay and after. Their airport taxi service made such a difference, as we had an early flight from Bangkok. I accidentally left a pair of shoes at the hostel and they were so helpful...

Good staff, facilities and location: Sala Daeng station is easy to reach from airport by skytrain. Also good access to Central Pier to catch a ferry to thr major historic sites. Lumpinee park is very close if you want to go for a run or walk in the green.

We had an amazing experience in this hostel. We felt relatively close to all the main attractions in Bangkok and since you're by a Train Line, it's easy to move around the city. To get to the other main attractions, the staff in the hotel will be outstandingly helpful for you to find the best way to move around, and...

This hostel was amazing and I give it 100%. Bee the owner is super nice and I advise that she is very busy and would kindly ask to pre book if you want to stay to make her life a little easy. I had lost my passport and stayed 3 days extra and Bee gave me also a complimentary breakfast...

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Put simply, it is everything a hostel should be. It's clean, air con is very good and jovial. Location wise it is very good located near sala Daeng and within walking distance of most tourist attractions. The two drawbacks are the steep first steps and having to go downstairs to the ground floor...

I loved this hostel. I stayed here twice during my travels through Thailand. I paid extra to stay in the private room because I don't like the group dorm scene. The room and private bathroom were exquisite. The bed was huge and done up very well, the room itself was large and had plenty of storage. Each guest is given...

This hostel is highly recommended. It is strategically located in Silom Road where all establishments are found. It is also convenient because it's near the sky train station. The owners are really friendly and accommodating! They will help you go around the city and can speak english well! Did I mention that this hostel is absolutely clean? Oh, yeah it...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
