Such a nice hostel! Defo get the breakfast! I think it was only 40 bht per day but worth it! You get a couple slices of toast, an egg and a sausage and a tea/coffee. In a good location only a 10 min walk to Lumpini Park and a shopping mall just across the main road! The host was lovely...

Smile Society has the nicest staff. It's in great condition, has great accommodations, and is kept very clean. Location was great for our purposes as well! The hostess is kind and hardworking. It was like having a cool auntie in Bangkok. Your room is kept clean, they'll do your laundry, help you travel plan, serve you breakfast before your next...

Very nice stay at Smile Society Hostel. The manager is very helpful and sympathetic, the rooms are clean and the sheets changed everyday (really appreciable). The breakfast included every morning is for sure a plus! The location being pretty central makes it easy to reach the Grand Palace and temples. We would recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to...

I stayed in Smile Society for 5 nights. The owner was very helpful at everything. The place was really clean and the location was just so great. Even though it's located in Silom which is the very busy area in Bangkok, I could sleep very well because it was so quiet during the nights. Anything can't go wrong with this...

Enjoyed my stay here, the host lady was great and was full of advice. Was only here for a short stopover in Bangkok but enjoyed it. The place was spotlessly clean and the common area was sociable and friendly. A nice area of the city to be in too and easy access to the SkyTrain.

We LOVED our stay at the Smile Society. We stayed here 3 nights (2 when we arrived in Bangkok, 1 when we left). There are a million reasons that I would recommend staying at Smile Society. Here are just a few: Comfortable rooms with lockers, very clean (I didn't even wear sandals in the shower (a first for me at...

What a great hostal, it's super clean, the rooms are a bit small, but they do house keeping every day and the showers have free shampoo and super clean as the toilets. The common area is ok. But you get to meet people easy.

The room was clean; had good wifi, fridge, clean bathroom and air con. The only downside to our room was that it was in the basement, meaning no windows. Miss Bee was amazing, very helpful recommending places to visit and she makes a mean breakfast. The location is great, two minutes from the station and right in the heart of...

Very clean and beautiful hostel, with great staff and many people to meet there. Its the perfect place to meet new people who often just arrived in Thailand/Bangkok. It is located in a quiet area, apart from the big big party places. Still there is a lot to do in the surrounding, like markets, a Skybar bars and more... The...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
