You can hear the music from the street clubs its clean and secure, it has a nice rooftop garden, rooms were average size, the place has no real character, but we had a good experience overall so I got nothing much to say

Very nice hotel. On a great street next to the Koh San Road. Nice restaurants and bars but away from the madness a little. Helpful reception staff and baggage hold. The room was small but very clean and the bathroom was great and nicely decorated as was the whole hotel. Would stay again and think for the price a great...

Very well located at the end (or begining) of Rambrutti street. Quite hard to find when we got to Bangkok, but that was our problem. We stayed first one night in this hotel, then went to other cities, and came back for 2 more nights. When we arrived for the first night they didn't have our room ready (it was...

We stayed there for two nights. The location is great as it's in the middle of backpackers' district, so everything you might need like good food, bars, money exchange, laundry, bookshops, massage places etc. are within a few mins walk. Bangkok's key attractions are within 15 mins taxi drive. As there is live music in the bar downstairs, it's quite...

not good impression since get into the door. The security guy is always sitting in the lobby, such a lounger, and not friendly. Your mood will turn down once seeing him or talking to him. The washroom is really small, there is no space to put your personal washing stuff. As other mentioned, It's definitely noisy in the night, can...

Never stayed in the rooms but drank and ate in the restaurant twice. Good affordable place that makes you feel relaxed as you watch the business of khao San infront of you. Good for a beer and relaxing with friends. Would return.

Booked 4 rooms and stayed there (3-5 Nov 2012). Rooms are nice and clean. Location is great (Soi Rambuttri). Tons of food, cafe, massages nearby. Music from nearby cafes tends to be a little too loud for us. I tried walking to Grand Palace, Wat Pho (15-20mins).

Two nights here after backpacking around thialand felt like two nights in a 5 star resort. It's one street over from Koh San, and walking distance from the main bus company (drat i can't remember what that's called now... but they drop off right near Koh San and this place isn't hard to find from there). It's CLEAN, the beds...

Only had a one night stop over in Bangkok before heading to Cambodia. Wanted to stay somewhere near Khoa San as was meeting friends but didn't want a dodgy room like the ones I've heard horror stories about. This place was perfect, nothing fancy but clean, good value and felt safe. I didn't experience any noise at all and slept...

When I read some reviews of hotels in Khaosan/Rambuttri it amazes me that some people are surprised that their rooms can be noisy and that the staff do not provide 4-star service. This is what you generally get in this area of Bangkok - catered to backpackers and passers-through. The energy in this area is dynamic and interesting for any...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
