We stayed 3 days in this hotel, the location was good as it is a 10 minutes walk from the main pier, and if you're in for a total local experience the bus no.53 (from samsen road) takes you to the main touristic attractions(wat phra kaew, wat pho and all the way to china town and back). It is also...

I was in Bangkok for work, so chose the hotel based on proximity to the office. But it's close to Khao San Rd area, the Grand Palace, Pra Atit etc, so really good for restaurants, sites, shopping. But can be difficult to get to other parts of Bangkok as it's not on a skytrain line. Room was very large and...

This hotel is in the old town of Bangkok. It is somewhat far from the shopping malls (if you are in to that) but within walking distance of grand palace and emerald budha temple. Lots and lots of places to eat and drink. I would recommend for younger people. Hotel is proper. Nice rooms. To bad most rooms have connecting...

Nice locaton in the middle of the old city neibourghood. Cool small restaurants, Thai Massage saloons, 711 shop within close proximity on the alleys from the Hotel Door. Khao San road shops...

We stayed here for a couple of nights, after a very long flight and a very early arrival (7am) the hotel were more than happy to allow us to check in to our rooms right away! We did email them prior to arrival requesting early check in but we didn't expect it to be right away. The room was clean,...

Nouvo City hotel is exactly what a city hotel needs to be: modern, clean rooms. Bathroom was spacious walk in for standard room Good location with 10 minutes walk to palace and Kao San Road. Breakfast is standard buffet, but good. We had a pleasant 3 day stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights while on a break in Bangkock. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel could not be any better for what we wanted. Just a short walk from kan sao road and near lots of great places to eat and drink

We stayed four nights at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. It is a modern hotel and the rooms are clean and spacy. Staff is friendly, but it can be quite chaotic at the reception. Breakfast is very nice and tasty. The location is ideal to walk around in the evening and you can enjoy nice restaurants nearby. The...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
