While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around

I stayed there with my friend in one room. I can say service was not so good but they give a really good breakfast, which is complimentary. I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a budget stay in Bangkok.

The price is the best thing about it. Too basic for my tastes. The walls are too thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. Plus the heat in our room was unbearable. It's a beautiful looking place. Breakfast was OK. The staff were really friendly. Plus the

Awesome host and best value for money hotel. Proximity to the Khaosan Road also makes it a good option for people exploring the area.

Our host was very cooperative and helped us chalk out best routes to travel to places to see within Bangkok. A memorable experience.

Dear DatGuyKing, Impossible as your review. Absolutely No Thief here. We run our small business with high reputation 12 awards within 5 years from guests around the world. We had help lot of guests who were stolen or scam. There are CCTV record 24 HRS around the house. That s a shame you incriminate our hostel with no evidence. .... PLEASE re consider the transportation during your travel BEFORE and AFTER our place. There are a lot of "Baggage Theft" even at the baggage claim at the airport. Wake up from the nightmare ...Think harder before type. We do not want to be a scapegoat. Regards, Owner Khaosan Baan Thai
I agree the ladies that work here are super sweet and friendly. The Thais know tourists are their livelihood and they would not bite off the hand that feeds them, I personally witnessed the Thai people almost ricksing their job to prove their innocence. Please do reconsider your whereabouts before, before accusing innocent people. Their place looked very secure with security gates and cctv. I recommend this place to experience an authentic Thai experience !

Sawadee kha. I have booked a room at Khaosan Baan Thai, we will be arriving in Bangkok by train early in the morning. Is there a luggage storing facility where we can leave our bags while we sight- see? Earliest check in is 13h00? Many thanks El
Hi again, anyone knows how to get to dmk airport from khaosan baan,we'll be catching our flight there on our last day in bangkok. how much if taxi or any directions. Really appreciate your help. Thanks..
Hi, how about if from airport to khaosan via taxi how much it would cost? Thanks..i appreciate your help.
From the Suwannabhumi airport it was approx. 500baht which included the extra charges (express way fees, Etc.). You want to make sure that it's a metered taxi! When you book with Khaosan baan Thai they give you directions to where the taxis are in the airport and also the directions to get to the hostel in Thai for you to give to the driver. Hope this helps :)

Hi, My husband and I are planning to stay there on 7/2-7/4. We would like to use Airport Rail Link to get to Khaosan Baan Thai. What station should we get off? I appreciate your help. Warm regards, Misa
Hi, I'm glad I can help you. There are two Airport trains: Express Line and City Line. I recommend City Line and go to last station named Phayathai (45BHT). From that point to Samsen Soi 3 taxi or tuk-tuk. I recommend taxi - much better comfort, same price. Standard price, if you can negotiate should be 70-100BHT depends on traffic. Airport Link station is located under airport terminal.

"First block of rooms are best"
"There are stairs here regardless of what room you are in. If you find stairs difficult, you may want to ask if you can arrange for a first floor room so that you only have to tackle one flight of steps."
"Room with A/C is not much more expensive and very quiet compared to most."
"Rooms closer to the reception area are better due to being within wifi range and further away from the street."
"i liked 205 because it was at the back and had a nice little balcony and was under a HUGE shady bodhi tree. Yay! sweet room. not a good room for you if you need easiest access to the toilet or dont like stairs..."
