This is a cool little hotel, the rooms and corridors have a fort like theme to them due to being next to the fort. Rooms are clean and functional on the budget end. Not massive amounts of furniture but enough. The higher level rooms look great too. Bathroom was lovelly and the staff were very helpful. We didn't eat breakfast...

Really liked the place! Rooms were nice and clean with tv (only one english channell though), and even they give you hairdryer or umbrella upon request. Location is great, right next to a nice little park with a fort, Khaosan Road is only a 5 min walk, Grand Palace is 15-20min. Staff was nice and helpful, gave us some great...

From the moment you walk in get a very dull feel to the place. Very noisy at night..doors opening and closing constantly. Beds very hard. Lighting in the room and bathroom definitely need updating. Avoid the ground floor rooms..we could not even open the curtains to let some much needed light in as anyone could see inside. Plus points -Staff...

I can fully recommend this place. The staff was very helpful, although some of them had only limited command of English. The rooms were clean and free drinking water was provided. They also provide a locker room for your valuables (bring a padlock). The hotel is located near Khao San road and there is lots of streetfood and a seven...

Guesthouse has great location since it's within walking distance to Khao San Road, few temples or pier from which you get basically to most of major sights. We stayed there twice, because during our second stay in Bangkok, we were too lazy and didn't have time to search for something else. Rooms are rather small without any equipment actually accept...

One of the most dingiest guest house out of all the ones I've stayed at. The lighting has dim, the beds were rock hard, too much noise, couldn't open the room curtains since people from the road could see in. I think for the amount we paid, we could have gotten a better place. One plus was the staff was...

Simple room with bed and bathroom, no other basic amenities ( safe, kettle, fridge). They supply towel, shower gel/shampoo and two glass bottle of water daily. Room looks nice, clean, bed is big with extremely fluffy puffy pillow. Friendly staff. The rooftop bar and restaurant is the highlight of the place, food is good, drinks is just alright. Tried the kamikaze and...

The hotel is in a good location. It is walking distance to khao San road, the river and restaurants, and some of the temples such as Wat Pho. Close to the royal palace. However it is not a loud area. There are two 7/11's right next to it. The rooms Are an unusual style, but we really liked it. Helpful...

My first time to spend holiday near khaosan road, I really love the rooftop bar, the fortress near the guesthouse, that's unexpected! For this unique concept of GH, and the price we spent in here, it's fair! Although we get a very hard bed (idk why they can't provide a comfy one) and the lack of wifi in my room,...

Me and my girlfriend spent there couple of nights at end of November 2016. The location is very good if you looking to go to Khao San Road. Its few minutes from the Guesthouse. I know there is plenty of Hotels and Hostels on the Khao san Road but this one is quiet at night. The rooms are very simple...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
