Good hotel for a lay over.looks pretty clean.bed is firm, good for bad backs. Aircon seems good. Bathroom small but ,looks clean enough. Haven't tried shower.water pressure could be low.theres no English channels, only thai.hotel has no lifts so, gotta hike up and down, very tiring.
1. I asked to arrange an Airport pick on my arrival, but they forgot to arrange It, so I had to call a transfer by myself. So frustrating when you travelled for 17hours. 2. Room was dirty and bed uncomfortable. 3. Staff was very noisy during the night 4. Terrible shower. Just avoid it
Good hotel near the airport with free transfer. Clean rooms but rather basic. Breakfast minimal but good enough to start your day. Nice night market just around the corner. Very small swimming pool. Price/quality is ok, but could be beter.
10 minutes from airport Free breakfast Airport pick up drop off small fee Friendly staff. Communicate well by email Good price.only issue was hard bed but I’m finding that everywhere in thailanf I would stay again But if any one knows of medium price hotel with soft bed please let me know Nice small pool to cool off
Hotel was better than expected. Its very thai style. Eg quirky tiled halls and a thai bathrooms The airport pickup took a bit of back and forth to make contact. Its 100b each way at all hours. Checkin easy. No deposit. Room much nicer looking than expected. Yes I could find some crusty edges in bathroom or a spot on a wall but for a short stop who cares. It was generally clean. No mosquitos at all. Bed was nice bedding but up there with hardest I have had and I have been everywhere. No safe but a note saying to drop things at reception. Quite a big spiel about extra chargers for joiners. I don't know why as it is not really red light area. Little bother from aircraft noise. You can barely hear the planes with aircon going. Staff were friendly. One annoyance was calling ahead to ask if there was food available anywhere and being told they have a "restaurant". What the have is a system where they heat and resell frozen ready meals that are same as Thai 7/11. Deliveries are available from junk food chains through apps but limited compared to elsewhere in bkk. I found best ootion was to go to the nearby market and by thai food there. They have crab fried rice, pad thai etc in the stalls beside the market. Food aside I would recommend this for a short stay of 1 or 2 nights and am glad I found somewhere decent for future.…
This is a perfect pre flight stop. The hotel is clean, the people are very nice and helpful! They carry your bags up the stairs and the shuttle to the airport is only 100B. We also had a wonderful Thai massage right up the street close to 7-11. The pool is refreshing and the AC is great!
Raisonnable price in a quite suburb, well equip, pool, massage, restaurant... A navette will collect and drop you at the airport. For one night and very earl flight, 5 minutes drive to the airport, plaisant staff, breakfast include. Walking distance of a very night market including real Thai restaurants.
I took a cab from the airport and the hotel shuttle on the way back. The room was on the top floor. I only had hand luggage so no problem with the stairs. The room was comfortable and a/c and shower worked very well. I even had a nice window view. Drinking water and tea are free in the room. I took a taxi to the fantastic Happy and Healthy Bike lane for a great bike ride located between the hotel and the airport. Night Market was great for dinner and it was nice to walk around a non touristy neighborhood.
A little gem, perfect way to end our holiday. Early morning flight so thought it best to be near airport rather than chance the Bangkok traffic. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast and airport transfer included, comfortable and a well appointed bedroom. Extra bonus, night market and massage parlors virtually on the door step. Incredible value for money. Didn’t experience any of the negative comments posted.
I have stayed here a few times now (it was actually the first place I ever stayed in Thailand after a late night arrival into Suvarnabhumi on a trip that was the start of a new life!) so I have fond memories more than most! With the ever increasing cost of Thailand and the strong baht and weak GBP/EUR/USD it is now hard to get much of a bargain, however Orchid Resort remains a relative one. One can often get Bed, Breakfast and 2 way shuttle for around 1000baht in advance. The first time I arrived in Thailand I was adamant I was going to pay 100USD for a room at the airport Novotel when the rep on the hotels desk (which one would normally asume to be touts/rip offs) convinced me this would be an adequate option and it still is whenever I have a late night arrival into Suvarnabhumi then an early morning departure back out (trust me, don't be fooled you will get back to the airport for your next flight if you dare head into downtown Bangkok....but that's another story!). Simple, small but comfortable and clean rooms, no lift but that is fine for me. Higher floors are good for AV fans for morning plane watching! The hotel has friendly staff, reasonable priced mini-bar and snacks, and good hot water. There is also a decent cafe/restaurant where the food is fine and a simple breakfast that is included in most room rates. There is a clean little pool and charming garden area which is nice to sit in on an evening and have a beer. 7-11 on the corner and some small massage shops, also a nice night market with good atmosphere and great cheap food options. The shuttle service makes things much easier and is prompt and clean with courteous driver. What more do you want for a £20-30 airport layover? I don't get what some of the bad reviewers were expecting - I was expecting much much worse and that still would have been adequate! Will stay again when not wanting to venture into Bonkers Bangkok...!…
