I looked long and hard to find that great hotel near Koh san road(12 min walk away). The hotel staff all gave excellent polite service in english. Rooms were sufficiently stocked with great Wifi. The pool looked terrible the night we arrived but was most likely in process of cleaning. Then next day the water was crystal clear and no...

Being located right on the river is the highlight of this accomadation.Breakfast was good and as stated location ads to the enjoyment.Bed feels like a solid hard foam block and toilets need a total replacement as they leak and toilet seats have seen far too many days of work.Overall I would stay again but only short term as this hotel...

Extremely nice staff. A decent breakfast buffet and the restaurant for lunch/dinner was great too. I had the spicy seafood salad and I am almost recovered:). Location is very central to all the touristy old Bangkok sites. Wifi was extremely good.....a great opportunity to load your device with movies before a long flight home. Recommend this place.

CLEAN, LOCATION, BIG ROOM, HARDISH BED, DECENT BREAKFAST, TRIPLE ROOM GOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF, WOULD RECOMMEND. For the price , especially for a triple room, it's hard to beat. The only thing is that it can be tough getting there in traffic. It's because Khao San road is the other side of town from the airports- expect an hour to hour...

We had a leaking air co one night, so we called the reception, that night we had a temporary solution, next day when we were on a day...

The pool area is perfect for breakfast and also to escape the traffic and madness of Bangkok. The rooms are simple but adequate. The location is the highlight Close to all the action of the area near Thonburi but by the river and walking distance to the ferries.

Stayed 3 nights here had a very pleasant time, great breakfast, right on the river. Plenty of restaurants, bars, etc., just out the front door. Can arrive there via river ferry from the BTS or taxi easy to find location. Will definitely pick this hotel again. Rooms clean, and offer a balcony practically feels like your sitting on the river....

This is my first time in Bangkok. I was recommended to stay at this guest house from a friend who has stayed here many times previously Great location near the Khao San Rd but without all the noise. I wound up staying here 9 nights in between a trip to Ko Chang and Cambodia all booked by the travel agent...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
