We stayed here for three nights and were so happy. The staff was friendly, They helped us all the time to find a cheap taxi (they arranged a fixed price for us in thai) and even drew us maps and providedhgelpful information. This was amazing! We saved a lot of money because of that. The room was worth the price,... More

Situated in the middle of china town, surrounded by countless food & market stalls. A little tricky to find at first, got lost afew times. Ask any local with your map/address & they'l gladly point you in the right direction. Clean en-suite room, safety box, kitchenette, cable tv, AC, wi-fi, friendly staff. Good value @ B1000 p/night, most definately use... More

quite simply, we loved it. We had the luck to be in China Town for the New Year celebrations at the end of January. All the good things blogged about this place are true so I won't spend time repeating. Transport wise, use the ferry! The public tickets are 15B and you can alight at any of the piers on... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms so so. Air con old, leak water. Staff helped change room, they are nice people. Fairly good location, easy to get a taxi. Surroundings not good. Dirty and stinky alley in that area. Good price

This is a pretty decent place to stay if you want to spend most of your time in Chinatown, it's relatively close to the main street and most of the shopping in Chinatown. However it is quite a distance away from the other places to see and shop, and the location of the hotel is tucked away down a pretty... More

If you want to base yourself in Chinatown this is a good option. The rooms are extremely clean, have a kitchenette, beds were comfy and was reasonably priced at THB1000/night. It is a little difficult to find so you will need to have directions in Thai for your taxi driver.

This hotel is great for people on a budget who want to cook themselves. It has a fully equipped kitchenette. It's modern and clean. But terrible for smokers. I worst thing about this place is the name it confuses taxi and tuk tuk drivers they all assume you want to "check inn" and the or a china town hotel and... More

The rooms here are great, we stayed in a double room which was en suite and had a fridge and kitchen area to prepare and cook food if you don't fancy going out. Small but clean bathroom and lots of drawer and wardrobe space. Situated in the heart of busy china town but down a Side street so noise isn't... More

And if they dont wake you the other guests will by banging their doors shut.... There is a big issue with ants so you cannot... More

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
