This is the perfect location for exploring Chinatown whilst still being quiet as it is tucked down an alley so there is very little traffic noise. The addition of a small kitchen was welcome for snacks and making breakfast and all utensils and cooking equipment is provided. The hotel itself is run down, there is a smell of damp and...

Hotel is good for budget stay, but there are much more hotels of such a kind in Chinatown. Hotel is hidden in the yards near big streets and unknown to taxi drivers (so usually we asked to bring us to Grand China hotel nearby). Woman in registration immediately ruined all the myths about Thai hospitality, she was real reincarnation of...

Check Inn Chinatown is tucked into a corner of Bangkok just perfectly to escape the craziness. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, and a serene rooftop lounge make this a perfect place to escape and relax from the constant motion of Bangkok. The room amenities were amazing, nicer than hotels which I've paid 10 times the price, and the whole place...

Perfect for backpackers on a budget who want to explore Chinatown! The room was clean, bathroom was nice, and monks could be heard chanting across the street. The room included a small kitchen, microwave, hot water heater, and complimentary tea, water, and coffee!

I was very happy with Check Inn Chinatown. The location was perfect for me. Walked to a lot of interesting places around chinatown. The room and bathroom were the perfect size for me and everything worked well. Really enjoyed the kitchenette available in the room. Staff were very helpful. And of course, the free wifi was super awesome and useful.

My mom and I wanted to visit the night market at Chinatown last Friday and decided to stay here because of the location. I was very pleased with the room for the price that we paid. The rooms also have a kitchenette with clean pans. I was surprised that this place offered free wifi that even reached our room on...

I had come to Bangkok for work & wanted to stay in Chinatown as it was near my work place. I was reluctant to stay in this place at first due to the negative reviews I had read. However I was pleasantly surprised when I actually stayed there. The property is Centrally located & has entrance from 3 different roads...

I have been staying at this hotel for the last six years or so. It is close to wholesale shopping. Over the years I have seen no upgrades and I think its about time to start.. Tired from shopping, I like to sometimes stay in and watch a bit of TV. The TV's are so old now they switch on...

This time I am really very disappointed about this hotel. Its location in the back soi and near Yaowarat Road is still very good. The bed is comfortable and clean. But all the rest is not what it supposed to be. First of all the receptionist gave me the wrong keycard (somebody else was staying in the room!?, this never...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
