I stayed in the double room not the dormitory. It was a nice room, well appointed and a good size. by Bangkok standards good value. An advantage is its close proximity to Chinatown, and at the entrance to the Underground that allows connection to the rest of the city quickly.

Room was clean and location is convenient for those want to commute using local buses. Bus stop and MRT station are just outside the hostel. Chinatown within a short walk. Golden Buddha temple just a stone throw away. Its value for money in terms of location and cleanliness. I commuted to shopping centres and places of visits via the cheap...

Across the train station and a metro station, access from the airport and train is easy, fast and cheap. The room was clean, with big outside facing window, comfortable beds, a sink and a safety box in the room. Singe rooms were very small without window. Wifi was better in the reception then the room. During our stay the dinning...

Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm which was the dirtest dorm I have been into! The walls had dirty stains on the edges and around the light switches.. Bathroom was relatively clean. I guess the fact we got new towels and bed made each day made up for this... Location could be better, stay here for the main train...

We stayed one night in a delux double room with an extra bed. They already led us check in at 8am, which we appreciated a lot! The room was clean and the lady at the check in very friendly. The location is very convenient too, you have the metro station right in front of your door. We would stay here...

There's nothing special about this place: Room was ok, bed good. Location is perfect for early morning train. However there is no atmosphere. As a functional good sleep it's perfect, but don't expect fun.

Arriving to the @ Hua Lamphong Hostel we were amazed at how great this place looked. We arrived much earlier than our Check-In time due to our connecting train from Chiang Mai, but this was no problem for the staff who let us in the room from 10:00. This was brilliant as we were able to head off out in...

While the hostel isnt as cheap as they make it out to be. I do believe I got value for the amount I paid (approx INR 2000/-). I had booked a private room with ensuite bathroom. I was a little apprehensive but the place was spotless. The place had free WiFi. I loved the bright spacious lobby. And while my...

It's near the main train station for those early departures or late arrivals. I stayed there all the time just for that reason. The owner-manager is very nice and so is the cafe staff. Nice cafe in the lobby area with good food. Unfortunately there is nothing much to see or do around that area but walking about 15 minutes...

Booked this hostel as it is so close to the HuaLamphong Railway Station and we only wanted to stay a night before getting on the train early morning. Very nervous about booking a "hostel" for my family but was pleasantly surprised by this place. Very clean and modern and great location for the trains. We went as a family of...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
