Came back because we liked it the first time. Nice, spacious room. I'd go for the Deluxe room as the Superior rooms have the charm of a prison cell. Strange door (glass with sticker on it), concrete walls, no colours, bathroom wall doesn't reach the ceiling of the room. Deluxe and Superior rooms where very clean and cleaned daily. Mattresses...

I should have written a review before I guess but it is already very popular and I would like to be able to come back when I'm in town so... Great place, 10 minutes ( 30 if you are looking at all the merchant stalls ) from Kao San Road in a quiet neighborhood. The price is very good and...

This is where we spent our first nights in Thailand and couldnt have asked for anything better. The hotel was in a great location, close to Khao san, but close enough to get a taxi to other parts of bangkok for pretty cheap. The staff were great they sorted anything we needed. The rooms were good we had the basic...

We stayed here for a few nights after just arriving in Thailand. We had a standard room which was pretty basic but clean and comfortable with big windows. The common areas are lovely and the prices for the beers are half what you pay on the Khoa San road! Staff are really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here...

Lovely place to stay. Quiet, clean, affordable not to far from khoa San. Staff are lovely. Especially the night staff. Became a true friend. In fact I'm returning for another stay in 15 days time as I miss it so much. Had some good memories here

Stayed here for a few nights while in Bangkok, we were looking for a place some what central but not too busy and this place was perfect, was a 10 min walk from Khoisan and close to the river, the building with the garden view was great, the rooms were clean and the internet was fast. We will be staying...

Good, clean and tidy basic rooms, quite cheap and good value looking at what you get at other places in Bangkok for your money. It is only a 10, 15 minute tops walk to Khao San road, anyone taking longer than that is really dawdling. It can be a bit hard to find as it is a couple of minutes...

We paid approximately 900 Baht for a standard double after booking previously online. It was our first hotel in our travels around SEA and we were willing to pay a bit more to settle ourselves in. We were in a newer annex and the rooms were lovely and clean. Staff were fine although maybe a little distracted at times. They...

Pros: 1. Great value for the price 2. Location - Can both be categorized under good and bad - Good as it is close to Khao San road; bad as it is deep into a narrow soi (street) and most cabbies don't know the place 3. Helpful staff. 24/7 presence on the counter 4. Daily shares bus services to the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“There were different blocks and levels in the hotel, and after having a walk around there were definitely different standards but all parts of the hotel were clean and all the rooms looked fine. Choose a room that suits you best if you can find a deal online, call them or just turn up and negotiate a price if you are prepared for a walk around if there is nothing available.”
