The hotel has about 6 floors. It is located in a quiet neighborhood of the khao San Road. So, if you are up for the crowded Street of khao San in the evening, this is a place to stay after. Nice terrace on the roof. The rooms are clean but sparsly decorated - just a bed and a table. English...

I have stayed here with my friends when we visited Bangkok two times. The hotel is in good place in the center of Bangkok and its very convenient for us to go around Bangkok. The rooms are clean and with reasonable price. The staff are nice, and we feel comfortable to stay here.

The room was nothing special really, very basic and a fan on the wall which was quite noisy. Shared bathroom was a bit run down but done the job. The staff were lovely and friendly. The garden area was peaceful if you wanted a place to chill and read a book. Location was good , khoasan road being about a...

The hotel is in a good place near Khao San road and Rambuttri area (5min walking distance). It is at the end of a street from Samsen road and the area is quiet and lack of trafic. The hotel itself is mostly for packpackers (dorms and shared bathrooms). We had a room with own bathroom. The room was ascetic (no...

Fine for the price and you get exactly what you pay for. Staff are nice and made sure we were up as we got really drunk and would have missed our pickup. Wifi in room is pretty fast and you can walk to bars and shops.

I stayed at Penpark place with one other person in November 2016 while backpacking through Thailand. The staff were very welcoming and willing to help us with any questions we had about Bangkok. They even gave us advise on where to go in town to find what we wanted to buy. The staff also spoke English well which was an...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“There were different blocks and levels in the hotel, and after having a walk around there were definitely different standards but all parts of the hotel were clean and all the rooms looked fine. Choose a room that suits you best if you can find a deal online, call them or just turn up and negotiate a price if you are prepared for a walk around if there is nothing available.”
