This little guesthouse, on the old, pre-Khao San tourist strip is a great place to stay. Very convenient for the Metro and Lumphini Park. Jacques keeps lovely, attractive rooms with lots of dark woodwork and excellent AC. Slept like a log. Breakfast is first-rate: proper espresso coffee; toast and marmelade; then a choice of oatmeal, French Toast (mmm) or eggs....

Thank you very much for this nice feed back. We really enjoyed welcoming you. We are happy you appreciated our little neighbourghood in the center of Bangkok ;-) That's true we should underline more how quiet our rooms are (not so common in a large city like Bangkok ...) We'll tell the staff how much you appreciated the breakfast. They...

We stayed at Hansaah Guesthouse 4 nights and had a great time there. Jacques and Pom are nice and friendly and always willing to help. Near metro and skylight stations, making easy to move around. The room was clean (cleaned every day), with A/C and the WiFi was working well. The breakfast is delicious, they are making their own bread...

Hello Oona Was a great pleasure to welcome you. We really had great times with you. We are glad you liked your large room well maintained every day. We pass your compliments on the breakfast to staff who are dedicated to produce it. Hope to see you again Jacques & Pom

It was a quiet guesthouse which serve simple breakfast. The owner was good that he willing to wait for us after they are 'close' for the morning. The room was simple but the bed can be better. It is close to a good massage shop.

Very friendly welcome by Jacques who is always eager to give you detailed information about the country and Bangkok. We found many answers with him! Rooms are comfortable, well maintained and very clean (bathroom is small but well equipped enough). They provide real hot water which is not so common in Thailand. Wi fi is really fast and works well....

Hello Marie and Jean It was a real pleasure to welcome you during the time the friend's place where you were staying had AC renovation. You have visited Bangkok in details and it was great fun chatting with you. We are happy you enjoyed your (short) time at Hansaah Staff know already you appreciated their work. You had the kind...

This a good first step for French speakers in Bangkok. The owner is chatty, helpful and keen to share his knowledge of Thailand. The location is okay. The rooms features are basic and the cleanliness could be improved. Overall the guest house could use same TLC. The breakfast was good. After travelling for one month throughout Thailand, we found that...

Bangkok is not Thailand. For the same type of accomodation, you can expect prices to go down by 2 (in Chiang Mai) to more than 3 in rural areas. Salaries, rental fees and supplies are more expensive in Bangkok. One must compare what is comparable. Hansaah is a guesthouse and welcome is central for us. We like to accompany our...

Had a high expectation of Hansaah as it was ranked #9 in B&B category but left a little disappointed Guess I'd have to agree with this reviewer on it being vastly overpriced: https://www.tripadvisor.com.sg/ShowUserReviews-g293916-d1600034-r148133082-Hansaah_Guest_House-Bangkok.html Pros Friendly and helpful staff (Jac and Pom). Helped to check for train tickets availability. Thank you. Good if it's your first time in Bangkok Good if...

Everybody is not the same : following review has been posted on aug 15 by 3 guests who stayed in exactly same room a week before https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g293916-d1600034-r405846401-Hansaah_Guest_House-Bangkok.html Hansaah guesthouse welcomes mostly families and triple room MALI (which has no view) has been equiped to welcome teenagers (or young travellers) in a separate room fom the family. Working in media in SE Asia for a decade, I have my preferred accommodation in many cities. For Bangkok, Hansaah is my choice: excellent value, smart, good breakfast, and close to a range of very good and reasonably priced restaurants (unlike the overpriced average restaurants of Sukhumvit). In Thailand there is absolutely no need to a lot of money on...

Hi Timothy It's always been a pleasure to welcome you ;-) You and your family were the one of our first regular visitors ;-) We also love this district of Bangkok ... well equipped, central and still very typical. Population here is mixed (from expats and ambassies to little local grocery or newspaper seller). We love that ;-) Breakfast with...

This is not the cheapest nor the most luxurious accommodation in Bangkok. But do not let that scare you. I found it to be perfect for me. Start with pre-booking. All enquires and concerns were answered promptly and effecently. (Suggestions be aware of time differences to consider your expectations replies via e-mail) I contacted some places including pricy hptels with...

We always appreciate to be considered hosts more than suppliers ;-) And happily, that's the case most of times. Thank you Jayesh, for underlining human aspects in what is called "hospitality business". It's the core of our commitment : we like people (of all kinds), we love supporting/helping them organize their trip. No effort for us, we just like it...

We were two families with a total of 5 children. Jac & Pom were up to the challenge. They gave us an extensive crash course in Thai...

Thai people love children ... So welcoming children is never a problem at Hansaah ;-) 3 adults and 5 children is indeed a challenge for breakfast (logistics and rapidity are certainly not the main skill of Thai people .... some of you have been waiting for their french toast for quite a while !!! ;-) but we love welcoming families...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
