Everything about this hotel was quite fine - the room was large and clean, located near MBK and a quick tuk tuk ride from Koh San Road. If you're just passing through Bangkok for a couple of days, this is a great place to stay This hotel is very hard to find. Make sure to print out a map with...

The young man at the desk is just as smiling as a grave. Too bad. I was Okay at first. But because I left my coffee 1 min 27 sec on the table, this same young man shouted on me like sh.. fish. I just wanted to get my coffee as its included in the price and breakfast (they had...

we have stayed one month in Thailand an have experienced the worst Service (if there is any Service) in this Hotel. They never cleaned our room in the five nights we stayed there or have changed the towels. Vans are not working propperly or are very noisy. A typical Backpacker Guesthouse

We walked in from the railway station. It was well signed and easy to locate. There was only one room left, which was a double with attached bathroom for 600B. (So, you may want to book ahead or have plan B. ) The room was worn, but clean and pleasant. The attached bathroom was huge. The room had a fridge...

A very darling guesthouse with lovely staff. More ethical & westerner-friendly that the same-priced 'your place' opposite . The fans are fine to keep you cool, it's off the road so a little quieter. It's very shally but in an adorable and pleasant way - by no means uncomfortable. 450bht for a huge 3 bed room, 290 for single room....

Judge for yourself. I booked a single room in advance for 4 nights. After arrival, I wasn't very happy about how the room looked like but really didn't want to look for anything else. Luckily, I had only some money left and paid only for one night. In the night, I couldn't sleep because of the noise, even with earplugs...

It's not too clean, nor friendly, nor comfortable place... I'd still like the traditional wooden house and sleepy atmosphere if the owners cared about it just a tiny bit more. There's tasty vegetarian restaurant on the opposite side of the street, and also very good connections in terms of public transport.

Let me put this out there for everyone: 1. The staff and management know about the bed bug problem 2. They really don't care Before I checked in I told them several times that I'm allergic to insect bites and they assured me the room would be fine. Turns out room 22 was bed bug infested and I woke up...

I booked a room before leaving Europe. I trusted the Lonely planet guide and the pictures sent on internet. But the room looked like a cell, half the sanitaries (toilets and sinks) were out of order, so were the computers, and the TV was broken!! I understand why I have been welcomed with a speech about other hotels in Bangkok,...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
