We stayed here because the location is great, very close in the Khaosan Roas where you can walk by foot for about 15 mins. The Room are all clean attached with the Bathroom, Hot Shower, Airconditioner, Tv but local channel. Free Wifi and their wifi is Good. However the complaint of so many Farangs. After spending a few hours in their air conditioned lobby while waiting to go to the train station, I realized that the whole family is involved in the running of this hotel. They carried on with their lives despite the fact that I had checked out and was taking up space in their small lobby. They stored our bags for...

We stayed in Suksawad for luckily just one night at the end of our trip around Thailand. The reviews we read prior to staying were relatively positive, so we didn't quite expect what we got. Our room was on the ground floor, and we had no navigate around brushes, bags of concrete and broken fans to get there... See image!...

The rooms are indeed very cheap, and if you want to arrive Bangkok with something book than this might be an ok choice. However, once in Bangkok try to find something else. The room is quite dirty, the hotel is very run down, the a/c doesn't always work and the it looks like that the linens were bought from a...

the Suksawad is a simple old hotel where the reasonable price ,the cleanness and the kind managemet can make you feel safe and at home. it is close to Kao Sarn road and the main monuments of Bangkok, not far from the riverside ,in an area dotted with small restaurants and cafe'. the rooms are enough spaciuos and confortable and quiet,but...

The hotel is set back from Samsen Road so it can be a little difficult to find at the first attempt, our taxi driver had to ask for directions but found it eventually. We were checked in quickly and shown to our room which was large, particularly compared to other places in Bangkok for similar prices (500thb for double). The...

I have been looking for a hotel close to KSR and checked the room. The receptionist was having an argument with a client and was not really interested in new business. After around 5 minutes I got a key of a room and went upstairs.I openend the door and felt like in a sauna with a foul smell. Walls were...

10 minutes away from Khao san Road I discovered this hotel in 2004 and came back there at 5 times since that time. The staff is friendly, the rooms are not new but one by one being renovated every time I was there, husekeeping every day, prices very reasonable, cheap cold drinks and Internet at the 24-hour reception, met many...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
