Nothing flashy about The Laurel, but it's clean, quiet and reasonably central. Only 400m from Victory Monument and the Victory Monument BRT station, you can get most places in Bangkok. Not swanky an area, there is a 7Eleven in the next street, and plenty of good quality local eateries, where food and drinks are cheap. The Hotel has it's own... More

It gets microwave oven and a balcony. The location is not bad cos it is close to central world. It is easy to catch a taxi outside the hotel. We rather take taxi than train for four people like us as it is cheaper. However, the shower is not hot enough.

Not far from Victory Monument and main suburban and airport train station, this clean and basic apartment hotel is extremely quiet despite being in the heart of busy Bangkok. A microwave and fridge is useful, but in Bangkok food is so reasonable and close at hand, you just eat out. There is airconditioning, excellent wifi, a swimming pool, and a... More

I was on last june, july again for 9 days here and some things have changed. There is a new manager, but I think owners are the same. The most important thing is that they must have made some kind of arrangement with some university, as they have now quite a lot of universitary students as residens. This changes some... More

We could not find this hotel and taxi drivers at victory monument would not take us as it was too close, but they would not give us directions either. We found it after many wrong turns and bad directions of people sending us the wrong way. When we arrived we could not find reception as there is not a sign for it(3rd floor).They... I rented two rooms, one for one month for me and my wife, and another one for two weeks for our son. The stay was great, we choosed the pool side, and all said from other reviewers is quite right. I will add some new things, you can smoke in the pool, there is an ash tray in every sun... More

I stayed here for just over one month from late March to late April 2012. The reviews before mine are fairly accurate so there is not much more to add. I will note though that the rooms do not have UV protection windows or dark curtains (but have light colour blinds), so it can get fairly warm in the suites.... More

It's a very nice and cost effective hotel, with clean, modern, spacious and well furnished rooms, equipped with everthing (fridge, tv, ensuite bathroom, wifi connection, air conditiong, etc.). The place is really quiet and at the same time within a really walking distance from any kind of shops, atm, markets, restaurants, pubs, bus and skytrain stations. The staff is extremely polite,... Let's be clear - this isn't really a hotel in the true sense, more like serviced apartments. But if you're looking to stay in Bangkok for a while then it's a fantastic place. Very clean, modern apartments that are within walking distance of the skytrain, it has a lovely pool, sauna, simple restaurant/social bar with pool table, laundry, free wireless... More
