Have all the basic facilities required with friendly staff and amenities. Room service was excellent. Swimming pool and bar is small. The restaurant is bit costly. But have restaurants nearby if you prefer Indian food.

While we do have restaurants and attractions such as the night market or Lebua Skybar in reach by foot, I believe you are perhaps looking for something literally beside shopping areas. Hence my recommendation would be one of our sister properties around the Pathumwan/Siam areas. Novotel Siam Square as the name suggests is around the Siam Square area with tons of restaurants and shopping possibilities. With the Skywalk you can cross over to Siam Paragon shopping Mall. Novotel Platinum is very popular with shoppers located right on top of Platinum Fashion Mall and with the Skywalk you can reach CentralWorld - the largest shopping mall in Bangkok - or Gaysorn Plaza which is arguably the most luxurious mall. Mercure/ibis Siam would give you a better price option located right next to the Skytrain station "National Stadium" across MBK shopping Mall. Please let us know if we may be of any further help.

Yes, there are 2 lifts in the hotel. You can only reach your own floor with your room card. Should you need to reach another floor (e.g, to visit your friends) you must ask the receptionist to modify / reset your card.
