I had the chance to stay in this fine hotel just a few days it opened and it was a great way to start the vacation. First things first. The complaint. It's not really a big deal but there were a few things of note. There were a few items of note still missing in the room like hooks in...

- The lobby doesn't have a proper check in counter. The counter seemed to look like a library with book shelves on it & not practical for guests to do inquiries, check in/out etc. - The lobby also doesn't have concierge counter & outside of the hotel entrance has no taxi counter that makes hotel staffs cannot accommodate hotel guests....

New refurbished hotel that re-branded under Mercure flagship hotel in Sukhumvit 11, Bangkok. I gave four stars for its room, Privilege room that's huge and nothing to complain except, the air-con issue that's bugging every TA review. Yes, the air conditioning can't be adjusted to my desired temp, as it always drop to 17-19 Celsius after turning it on for...

- new hotel, everything is clean - slow check in & check out - air con in room cannot be switched off, slow response on temp adjustment - 5 to 7 min. walk from BTS, street is narrow not super friendly to walk - good to have a supermarket, starbucks and au bon pain nearby

The hotel was opened on 10 Apr 2017 and I stayed at the hotel on 14/15 Apr 2017. The check-in took very long time as well as check-out. The hotel is new, the room is very spacious and comfortable. We experienced very unpleasant situation related to booking fully paid during the reservation. During check-out it was requested to pay once...

This was an older hotel i had stayed at a few times previously (President Palace) and has recently switched to Accor. Undergoing a substantial reno, i will probably stay here a few more times ongoing. The room was excellent, a substantial makeover keeping a few of the more substantial features (bathroom and aircon) but the rest is brand spanking. The...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
