I stayed there in my first two nights in Asia ever and it was a really nice start. Rooms are clean and got a safe, balcony, shower, AC, few bottles of free water in the fridge etc. The breakfast was one of the best budget breakfast I've ever had with toast, eggs, fried rice, fruits and some other stuff. Wifi...

I stayed here for two nights at the end of march 2013. I was keen to get out of Bangkok quickly. The hotel itself offered good value, basic furnishings, a safe, hot shower, tv, space for washing and a fridge. It was close to Khoa San Rd and quiet in the evening. It was perfect place to g away from...

I stayed there for 10 days and then asked to stay for a few more days. I was at first told ok but then that the owner had accepted a booking from Thais so I would have to leave. There seems to have been a little confusion with more than one person organising the bookings. Most hotels check if guests...

I am a senior citizen travelling in Thailand alone. I was in this hotel for five days. I booked this hotel whilst in England not knowing what to expect. The room was cleaned every day and had clean towels daily. There was a fridge, a safe box, two bottles of water a day, air con, a place to hang washed...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in January 2013 and found it to be more than good enough for our needs. As we were backpacking and trying to do things on the cheap this place provided good value for money. We stayed in a private double room with an ensuite, which even included our own balcony area!...

We stayed here for four nights and while it was not the most modern hotel we have stayed in, it is one of my favorites! It is clean, air conditioned, and has hot showers. All of the receptionists are helpful. Our room had a nice little balcony. It is in a convenient location. Best of all, the breakfast is wonderful!...

We had booked this hotel due to its location very near to Grand palace and other temples like Wat Arun and Reclining Budha. We have reached at around 1.00 A.m in the night and their was no problem in check in. Room was quite small but neat and clean.A.C...

I won't repeat all the accolades of the other reviewers on this site, but I will say the reviews are accurate. This hotel is basic but very clean, has all the amenities we expected, and has a delicious breakfast every morning. We would have appreciated having a chair somewhere in the room as sitting on the bed got rather tedious....

Service was adequate. Room was mediocre. The highights were the breakfast and the ultra quiet neighborhood. But overall dissapointing as I prebooked on agoda.com and paid too much. The roof is ok but not used.

Try to get a room on highest floor. It's almost silent (for Bangkok) and a view above the roofs and the new bridge. Very friendly staff. It's a 10 minutes walk to the backpacker district. Would do it again.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
