Stayed there for one night in a private room. Surprisingly luxurious for a hostel (which is true for a lot of hostels in Bangkok). Comfortable bed, good shower, clean room. Very helpful staff and a travel agent that comes in on the mornings to plan onward trips (Krabi Islands, Laos, Cambodia, etc.) The only negative I'd say is that it's...

I stayed here a few times in October and November 2013 and each time was the same (albeit different) great experience. I found all the people who worked there were warm, friendly and helpful. The beds and rooms were clean and comfortable with good size lockers were provided in each of the rooms and the shower cubicle were a decent...

Lub*d Silom may seem like a pricey hostel to the average budget traveller, but for what you pay you get so much more back We stayed in a railway twin, which had super thick mattresses, lovely pillows, plugs next to your bed so you can charge your phone/tablet etc or just use it in bed whilst you charge it. The...

We stayed in this hostel the first night we got to Bangkok. It was super clean, we stayed in the ladies' only dorm, with ladies' only bathroom. Super clean, spacious and comfy beds. The lockers provided are big enough for yourbackpack (but you need your own padlock). The staff at the desk were really helpful with directions to restaurants and...

Very nice, good to.meet fellow travellers. Very clean although bed bugs, also is priced about the same for a bed in a dorm as for sharing a room with a friend in a better placed hotel with better facilities. That said, i did have a great time and other people were nice, and does have a reception capable of easily...

Dear guest, we are very sorry about the incident. We take this issue most seriously and we can’t accept this to happen at our facility. We had blocked the room that you had stayed, and done the very detail inspection to the room. We will not release this room, or any other rooms for service unless we are confident that...

We booked a double room on the 4th floor and thought it was just awesome. The downstairs area is also really cool. A little bit far from some of the more popular sites but a nice place to come back to after a hard day exploring.

Amazing hostel. Friendly staff, well cleaned and organized beedroms, the bathrooms were amazingly neat and the shower was just great! The breakfast the hostel offers is simple but saved my morning every day! Also, Silom road is just one block way, meaning you have many options to eat pretty much anything you are looking for. One tip: just across the...

Lubd Silom is great for so many things. The location is in downtown Bangkok, yet the area is quiet and not at all crowded. It has the best group of people for who are knowledgable, guiding and yet very friendly. the hostel itself is quite chic and this ensures that a tasteful group of people visit the same. This place...

We spent there 2 nights before our Asia adventure. The hostel is renovated and perfectly clean, there was never a dirty bathroom. There is a nice terrace in front of Lub d Silom, where u can relax in the eve. Even though I liked our stay at Lub d SIlom, i think the location could be better, it is set...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
