Easy to find. Walkable to Pratunam Market and malls. Lots of restaurants in the area. Approachable and accommodating staff. Clean and traditional wooden Thai house. Love this place! Will come back again.
We stayed for 7 nights. Although we had 2 large suitcases and cabin bags nobody came out from reception to help us,even though there were two guys standing by the desk Room was as we had booked, clean and quiet. Lady at breakfast never smiled (unusual in the land of smiles). When I asked for scrambled eggs she said no, yet there were two guys in the kitchen preparing for the lunchtime. Eggs under the warmer were like rubber. Mod (Maude) on reception was very helpful and always smiling. We asked to use the free tut tut to go to Victory Monument (1.10) we were told that we could not go until 1 30 as stated on a card by the desk yet he sat there doing nothing and could have easily taken us the 3 minute trip !!!! This hotel does things when it wants and the customer is not first.but in a city that is crazy and noisy it is quiet and close to local restauras and street food and 7/11. The hotel organised several Grab taxis for us but ehen asked for one to Dan Noung airport they were very reluctant and said it would be more expensive than the one they use which was 500 baht. We were scepital but we did not want to miss our flight. The taxi guy covered over his meter with a towel which slipped when we arrived at the airport 177 baht! The hotel obviously has a deal going but this left a very bad taste as they cheated us. Was not very happy. True Siam Hotel please note this.…
Actually looks "Siamese". Good location for the airport rail. Staff accommodating in obtaining genuine taxis and providing directions. English speaking adequate. Nearby some restaurants and stores. Room clean and comfortable. Pool clean and pleasant. Only downside that there is nearby construction that is noisy in the daytime. We would stay again.
Quite good hotel in Bangkok with very good service, swimming pool and a very good breakfast zone. It also had a free tuk tuk service for certain places. The last day we had our flight very early in the morning so the canteen was going to be closed and they prepared a take off breaksfast for us. I really recommend it and congrats to all the staff, they are doing a great job.
So before I start this hotel was average and not bad for the money. Room was comfortable and hotel style in wood was nice. Pool area clean and nice to cool down on a hit Bangkok day bit could do with more loungers. Apart from the lady on checkout who was lovely the other staff seemed efficient if not a bit surly at times. A smile costs nothing. My biggest complaint was the noise level the walls seemed very thin and whilst not their fault my last night I did not sleep until 4am due to my inconsiderate neighbour talking so loudly on the phone for 4 hours. Overall not a bad hotel for a short stay.
This hotel is a pleasing construction, giving the appearance of old wooden floors, beams etc The room I was in had no hot water in the sink and the shower was warm at best (which was warm enough in that weather) Swimming pool looked nice, clean etc (we didn’t use it,) There was a variety of fresh breakfast every day - which was nice, but my experience was it seemed to be ‘first come first served’. I attended at different times and I never saw the breakfast replenished, or kept particularly warm, and I did see it had run out later in the meal time.(I was there at ten one day and it was being packed away) The staff were helpful but always seemed a bit ‘suspicious’ as if they were always checking that I wasn’t trying to have them over—- I booked a couple of taxis with them and they advised a 200 baht fee each time and both times the driver either tried or did take me somewhere near but not exactly where I wanted to go. The first one took me to a private water taxi place, instead of the main pier, where a slimy guy was offering an outrageously priced boat trip.... Unfortunately my experience in Bangkok was that the locals are likely to see tourists as something to make money from... Anyway, that’s certainly not the only place that applies and I liked and enjoyed Bangkok…
The hotel is at a great location only thing is it is not so easy to find from the main road. The rooms are spacious and cosy and the staff are quite polite and some do speak English. The breakfast is great only don't forget your room key when you get to the restaurant
My wife and I stayed in this hotel in mid-July 2019 for a few days, we were extremely satisfied. The location is very convenient as it is close to a BTS station. The hotel also has a free Tuk-tuk service (schedule).
When we arrived on foot the alleyway seemed a bit sketchy but it was fine. Nice room. Great pool to cool of in. Good location. Bed a bit harder than we like. Good pillows.close to lots of shopping and sky train
Hotel: The chauffeured car dropped us off at the front door. The reception room was a big area. The hotel staff quickly checked us in. Our guest room was in another building. On the reception counter was a hotel business card with a map on the back-great idea-when you don't speak the language. Room: The room was a good size, king size bed, night tables, mini frig, very little drawer space and a television. The bed was comfortable. The television had limited channels. Breakfast: The large breakfast room had an open kitchen attached. The Thai food items were tasty and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The coffee was good. You had to show your room key before being seated. Disappointment: Hotel: When researching for a hotel, I should have street view-google this location. Discovered it is located down an alley, away from other business or restaurants. I would not want to walk down the alley in the dark, didn’t even like to walk during the day. Some taxis don’t even know this hotel-one taxi dropped me off at the wrong True Siam Hotel. The reception staff, one out of three spoke English. There was no café / restaurant, except for the breakfast room, to have a snack. Room: Lacking deck or drawers to place suitcases on. The room looked very bare, like a sofa or table and chairs were taken out. The window faced another building, so no view. The television had a few English speaking channels but the reception was very poor. Bathroom: The shower floor slanted away from the drain, therefore the shower water sat 2” deep for hours until it finally drained. I probably won’t stay here again.…
