My boyfriend and I stayed here for our first weekend in Bangkok. The price was a bit more than I usually spend on a hostel, but Baan Dinso was totally worth it. I loved it! The staff was so kind and helpful. I loved all of the things they included, like fresh water, free internet, unlimited fresh towels, cable TV...

I've stayed in some of the flashest hotels in Bangkok but decided with 3 accompanying adult children we should be a little more adventurous! Baan Dinso gets all the positive reviews on this site and quite deservedly. We stayed 3 nights booking 3 separate rooms ranging from ensuite to twin to single. All rooms provided excellent value for money. Comfortable...

If you stay anywhere in Bangkok then this is the place to stay! I stayed here three times during my two months in Thailand - On my first return after an overnight train & arriving around 8am I was greeted with a warm welcome, a big smile and what caused my jaw to fall on the floor was that after...

When we checked the reviews they were great, but then we checked Dinso's website. The directions were pretty scary; take a taxi, get off at the 7-11, and then walk down the back alley to Baan Dinso. Not what you want to read when you are arriving at midnight. But we were up for the adventure. We were not disappointed....

As other reviewers have already stated, Baan Dinso Hostel is a great find. It really is more like a boutique B&B rather than your usual hostel with fantastic service, beautiful building, good rooms (all with air con), tasty food, peaceful location and absolutely immaculate throughout. Free internet/wifi access is also available to guests. All this for less than £35 UK...

Stayed in this guesthouse one night before starting a tour, and I have never seen such a beautiful place, or as clean. Loved the breakfast in the courtyard, and wouldnt hesitate to stay again. The showers were clean and the rooms were a decent size.

Thanks to the many rave reviews here, have now stayed at Baan Dinso twice in the past few months, and a third visit is definitely on the agenda! As others have mentioned, delightful Baan Dinso would be more appropriately described as a very charming boutique guesthouse (9 rooms) rather than hostel, and this was reflected during my stays with fellow...

Excellent place to relax after a day exploring Bangkok. Small hotel with a lot of character, it is really a beautiful place. The Staff is also great, very nice and helpful. We spent some really wonderful days here.

I spend 4 nights in this lovely thai house situated in a very quiet street close to major tourist attractions; good breakfast; unfortunately the cheaper rooms (about 20 euro for a single) have only shared toilet and bath, the wooden shutters don't close and in the yard (stone floor and easy to clean) you are expected not to wear shoes...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

“You can find plenty of choices of food on the street one minute away from the hostel. If you can, only pay the room price without the option of breakfast, as the breakfast served by the hostel is far too simple but expensive considering the price of 200 Thai Baht. With the 200 Thai Baht, one can easily get a big and delicious meal in the local restaurants nearby.”
