I've been to Taipei a number of times, but this was my first visit staying at the San Want Hotel. Overall, I'd say the hotel was decently nice. The decor is a bit worn and I wouldn't go so far as to say the hotel is a luxury spot - I'd compare the accommodation to a Hampton Inn. The breakfast,...

I love the location of this hotel. Shopping and MTR are just a step out from the hotel. There is a great patisserie in this hotel, well recommended. I've been staying in this hotel since before, but the decor inside the room have start to age. Here are some points that needs the hotel TLC... - refresh of interior -...

The hotel seems to be a very traditional one but clean. The location is in the middle of Taipei city where high street shopping brands, restaurants, bars and cafes are situated on every corners of the streets. Deluxe rooms are in average size, bathroom traditional style. Acceptable international breakfast buffet start 6.30-9.30 am. but very bad taste coffee though. Staffs are...

Location: Shopping for days! Super cool area with shops and malls and little street alleys full of places to buy whatever you could possibly want or need. NOTE: stores don't open until 10:30, 11:00. Family mart and 7-11 are very close. Hotel: Reviews say it's a bit dated... I kind of felt that it was apart of the decor design....

The San Want hotel is in a fantastic location - steps from the metro, great shopping and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodations are average - outdated with a bit of a musty odor, but clean enough and always well-serviced. The included breakfast left something to be desired for a western palate, but was adequate to get...

The SanWan hotel was a wonderful hotel. The staff were extremely polite to the guests, especially in the lobby. The cleanliness of the hotel was acceptable, albeit slightly old. The location was the best asset to the hotel. It was directly on the main street of central Taipei with many department stores including Sogo, clothing shops including Forever 21 and...

Hotel is in an old building. Most rooms faced inwards and the view can be pretty dismal. Furnishing in room is dated with insufficient power plugs but hotel make it up by being superlative in service from the minute we entered the hotel. Our bags were speedily transferred to our room, check in was quick, efficient and courteous and every...

We stayed here 6 nights for a family vacation. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. When you come in and out of hotel, there will always have someone there opening the door and elevator for you. We stayed on the 7th floor facing the busy street. Don't feel noisy and we enjoyed the view from the street to...

The hotel is very convenient for public transport, spitting distance from a subway entrance and easy to catch a cab. Check in/out was easy, the room was comfortable with a good bathroom and free wifi that worked well. We looked out over an interior stairwell so there was natural light but no view. Breakfast was included in our rate and...

I stayed at San Want hotel for 1 night when I was waiting for my connect flight back to US and I was pretty happy about it! The hotel is not new but it is very clean, and it is in a great location where you are close to shops, restaurants and subways is right in front of the door....
