Hotel is in an old building. Most rooms faced inwards and the view can be pretty dismal. Furnishing in room is dated with insufficient power plugs but hotel make it up by being superlative in service from the minute we entered the hotel. Our bags were speedily transferred to our room, check in was quick, efficient and courteous and every... More

We stayed here 6 nights for a family vacation. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. When you come in and out of hotel, there will always have someone there opening the door and elevator for you. We stayed on the 7th floor facing the busy street. Don't feel noisy and we enjoyed the view from the street to... More

The hotel is very convenient for public transport, spitting distance from a subway entrance and easy to catch a cab. Check in/out was easy, the room was comfortable with a good bathroom and free wifi that worked well. We looked out over an interior stairwell so there was natural light but no view. Breakfast was included in our rate and... More

I stayed at San Want hotel for 1 night when I was waiting for my connect flight back to US and I was pretty happy about it! The hotel is not new but it is very clean, and it is in a great location where you are close to shops, restaurants and subways is right in front of the door.... More

It's position is good, close to the metro. People is very professional, little cold maybe. Rooms are clean but old, pretty old. Rooms, free upgraded from economic, were big and comfortable. I don't know about breakfast as it was not included.

We were booked at this hotel by our company which was just opposite this hotel. We received great service at the hotel. Was also pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was huge, actually equivalent to a suite size. Even with a big L shaped sofa there was still plenty of room left. Toilet was big too! Definitely appreciated... More

Chose San Want Hotel for the third time because of the perfect location like many have mentioned. The hotel is just outside Zhongxiao Dunhua station and close to many shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Zhongxiao Fuxing station, Sun Yat Sen Memorial and Taipei 101/Xinyi district if you are willing to walk more. My last visit was 6-7 years back... More

This is a centrally located hotel near the metro. We think they follow the Japanese model of service with a smile. Tourists and business people from all over the world stay here, though. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The building is very old, but they did a very good job renovating it. Still the room we stayed in had... More

Location was perfect, right outside the subway station and close to shops/restaurants. Service was friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean, but the walls were thin and could clearly hear the TV/conversations/shower next door...

First impression was the incredible service we received on par with a 5 star hotel. The building is old and the place needs a face lift, especially the rooms. But the room was really large (pretty much a suite with a living room and a bedroom) and clean for the most part. We got a non smoking room but the... More
