We stayed here twice on separate trips to Taipei, given its great location close to the Main Taipei train station and bus stations. Both times, our room was clean and tidy. The owner / manager is friendly and helpful. Wifi is strong in the room. Shared bathroom facilities are clean enough, and there are common rooms and kitchen facilities on...

Location is just wonderful, accessible to anywhere in Taipei as it is 5 mins walk from the main Taipei MRT station, HSR station and Taipei railway station.

Location is very good. Small room but still comfortable for short or long stay. Recommended for backpacker. Manager willing to help and negotiable in extention. Overall still in good conditions. Hopefully more upgrading room service to achieve satisfactory especially for tourist.

The owner seems to try his best with customer service. He even offered to let me pay the next day if I had any money problems. However, I was surprised that he didn't offer to help me with carrying my luggage (I had a big backpack on my shrimpy little girl body, a massive suitcase plus a smaller hand-carry suitcase)...

The owners are really kind here. When I had a booking cancelled at another hostel and I couldn't find a replacement they agreed to add and extra bed in my friends' room at a discounted price! The welcome was friendly and they let me leave my bags until I could check in later. The room was clean and the beds...

I stayed one night here and two nights at Taipei Backpacker's Hostel - the latter was much nicer. I stayed in the second building, which has a kitchenette on each floor but different facilities, e.g. microwave one floor, drinking water on another. I didn't use the common room but the kitchen behind the reception area looked dingy. I booked a...

The Hostel is really worn down but you get what you pay for. We arrived and the owner was in a rush to the bank so he didn't really give us then low down - a map, the attractions near by, or the rules other than turn the a/c off when we left. The next day when we left we...

The hostel is good given its price and location. The description on its website is true and modest. Room is clean and furniture almost new. The best feature is the owner and the manager. They are both warm-heart persons and willing to help anytime. They are the first two Taiwaneses I talked with during this trip and I was impressed...

We stayed both here and at Taiwanmex. We prefer the latter since it was mostly ant-free and cheaper. Happy Family is okay though if you don't want to spend all day looking for a budget hotel that isn't too dingy (thre are tons of options in the vicinity). Staff here was very friendly (hence the name I guess).
