When the early morning mist cleared, we went on safari riding on elephants to see the rhinos. 1 1/2 hour safari allowed us to see 5 rhinos as well as deer, wild boar and many birds. Then back for a full cooked breakfast. Rooms adequate, but what you really come for is the setting

The Tigerland staff, food and accommodations were wonderful. We did this trip as an extension after completing the REI Everest Lodge-to Lodge Trip, and it was a perfect way to end our Nepal visit. Very relaxing, very attentive staff and the food was great! We stayed busy and saw SO much wildlife, including a Bengal tiger and her cub, amazing!...

We arrived after dark having driven for more than eight hours on the main road alongside the Trisuli River which was in a very bad condition and being repaired in places, with lots of hold-ups. We were warmly welcomed and showed to our two rooms in a semi-detached raised 'chalet' overlooking a 'wild'garden. We were just in time to watch...

A little piece of Nirvana tucked in the jungle. Arrived yesterday feel like I'm in a scene from Out of Africa but I'm out of Katmandu. The air is beautiful, the grounds are great the service is lovely. A jeep ride yesterday to Chitwan National Park was amazing. Rhino, python, Birds and wild boars siting. Today in early morning elephant...

The long journey to get to Chitwan is quite an experience. The resort is basic, its clean, comfortable and in an excellent setting. The staff were first class. very helpful and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my three nights there.

We stayed here for two nights and felt very welcomed by the staff. The food was excellent and everything in the lodge worked well, including the air-con and shower (but be prepared to wait a few minutes for the hot water to work it's way through!). We saw several rhino (including a mother and baby), crocodiles and lots of bird-life....

As previously noted this is an excellent base for visiting the Chitwan area and to see a different area of Nepal. Travel by the long, winding, potholed road for fabulous scenery. The staff, rooms, service, food, local dancers are all wonderful. We especially appreciated air conditioning in our room and tea making. The common area is very comfortable and restful....

We had a great time here. Saw rhinos, a python, wild boar close up. Good range of activities. The guides were very good, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the food was good too. It proved to be an excellent base for visiting Chitwan.

This was a highlight of our trip to Nepal. We were not trekking, but wanted to experience Nepal in other ways. In addition to working with and learning about their elephants, we were able to see rhinos, crocodiles, deer, monkeys, and countless bird species in the National Park. The resort isn't easy to find. When we visited, the main road was being repaired (May 2016) and was closed with no diversion indicated. Fortunately a few (very) country lanes later and a bit of luck we ended up around the repairs and finally found where we wanted to be. The place itself consists of a number of individual cabins...

Venturing into the domain of the Royal Bengal Tiger… We call this ‘Tigerland’: one of the world’s last remaining habitats of this magnificent cat, pre-named ‘Royal’ not for anything else but for the majestic image it projects! In its dappled coat of sun and shade, its graceful litheness in motion, no wonder it is considered King of the wild. Among its subjects, the larger, lumbering elephants. ... more   less
