We chose this "add on" to our small group Saga tour of India and Nepal. It turned out to be the best possible decision. It is difficult to write about without overdoing the superlatives. So I will attempt to reign myself in. In a way...More

Hello Marcus and past guests, Your lodge looks fabulous and I have added you to our must do list. I have some questions about your beautiful fireplace if you have a few moments to answer. I am in the planning stages for a mountain retreat for my family, and I would like to incorporate in indoor, or semi indoor central fireplace in a great room just as you have done. I am curious if you have issues with the room being smoky, and if not, how you deal with that. I am guessing the circular metal ring hanging above is for heat retention more than for guiding the smoke. Marcus if you have an tips for me for planning or construction I would love to hear them. And if any past guests would love to share comments about the fireplace as Shashank has done I would really appreciate it. Thanks very much and we'll see you in the mountains! Todd, from BC Canada.
