Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We showed up late night in Pokhara with no idea where to go and happened to end up at Trekkies Guest House on a recommendation. Right from the start we knew we had landed in the perfect place. We had our sights set in the Annapurna Circuit but it was a last minute decision to go to Pokhara on our longer trip. The owner of the guesthouse is an avid trekker and a guide and he helped us (free of charge) to get the right gear, permits, etc etc. and talked us through the trek what not to do and so forth and within 2 days of arriving we hit the trail and the hike went fantastic thanks to him. He also stored all our other stuff until we got back two weeks later and we decided to stay there longer simply because him and his family are so amazing. The house has a great location, just

This was a nice stay in a quieter part of town. The rooms are big an clean. I recommend this guest house, certainly if you need a bit of peace and quiet. The owner is a really nice guy and very helpful.

I am always skeptical when people offer me a guesthouse as soon as I arrive somewhere, but this time I thought why not and it was a very good choice. Trekkies is out the way so nice and quiet but still close to everything. Has everything you want from a guesthouse (hot water, WiFi, good price, book selection), but most of all the owner was really friendly, helpful and nice without ever being too much. There are a million guest houses in Pokhara so it's hard to know where to start, but you could do A LOT worse than head here.

It's a good, clean and nice questhouse in an area which is a bit hidden from general crowd yet pretty close to the center: it takes about 5 minutes to get to the lakeside road. Hot water, cleanliness, nice garden with a hammock - everything a backpacker really needs. The owner is a very nice man, always with a smile and very helpful. I highly recommend this place.

The friendly and humorous owner of the hostel catched us at Lakeside when we were looking for a place to stay and it was a really good decision to go with him. The hostel is located about 5 minutes from Lakeside main street in a native neighborhood. It is really calm, the rooms are clean, cheap, have hot water showers (solar) and you can chill outside on the porch. Both the owner and his very nice wife were really helpful and supportive. Highly recommended!

Trekkies has been my home in Pokhara. The place is quiet, clean and comfortable, and within a budget backpackers means. Bhadra the owner is an amazingly relaxed, funny and helpful ensuring you are always looked after. He is also a 15 year veteran of trekking annapurna and gave me a good price. I always felt safe and supported. If you want a local village stay, away from the tourist trap of lakeside go to Trekkies. Watch out for the yeti when hiking

Small, well run hostel just about 5 minutes away from Lakeside, yet in a really quiet and calm alley. The owner is friendly, the hostel itself is really clean and spotless, outhouses are kept clean all the time. Rooms are decently equipped and have a comfortable bed. And the hammock in the garden is an absolute winner, when You've had enough of walking up and down on Lakeside.

The owner is super freindly. He is working hard to ensure you have a great time. He is trying to upgrade the Hotel with small but nice thinks. He will help you arrange busticket and food even early in the morning. But chicken will wake you up early every day.

The place is very very clean and the beds are really comfortable. It is a small family business and the owner is very friendly, there are only half a dozen of rooms so the place is very good to relax after the long walks you will probably be doing the whole day in this beautifull town! The place has also a good wi-fi connection. Enjoy!
