I had chosen this hotel as I had stayed there previously and liked it. Not so this time. Maybe management has changed. I have a friend (Nepali) of ten years who traveled for an hour and a half to come and see me at the hotel, who wasn't permitted to go inside ('policy'). So if you have any local friends, forget it. Also, the WiFi didn't work and, apart from the obligatory 'namaste' most staff were unhelpful. Go some place else.

I stayed in both shared room and private room and both were really good. Clean and nice staff. Good location as well. They have little restaurant, good to grab some breakfast before sightseeing. Worth trying.

It’s a basic clean hostel. No common room other than reception and a roof top terrace which is at the mercy of the rain. Daily cleaning of the hostel and is centrally located. Staff is friendly. The manager helped me find an alternative to viewing Everest mountain range when my flight had been canceled 3 days in a row.

I stayed in an upstairs room with a verandah and private bathroom which was serviced daily by very kind and friendly staff, excellent value for money. Located in the heart of Thamel everything you need is within walking distance.

Stayed here for almost one month in the 10 bed dorm in the 1st floor. Very quiet, unexpected, given the central location in Thamel. Every morning the cleaning team (3 lovely women) would come at 9.30-10 am and change the bedsheets And the pillow cases And the duvet covers, clean the sinks, the shower and the toilets. The restaurant downstairs: a bit pricey, the chicken momos de-li-ciousssssss (I've eaten momos in many places in Thamel during this month and here they maybe have the best ones..) some of the sauce-based food too salty for my taste.. but excellent coffee! People in the restaurant veeeery nice and helping. Good for the days when you wake up and you just feel you don't want to get out of your pijama.. I've met hey a lot of people that were repeating hostel... and surely if I came back yo Kathmandu, this would be my place to stay again..
