Gokarna forest resort has beautiful rooms with plenty of space for leisurely lying about, a large television and superb bathroom. Whilst the room itself is above average, and the food from durbar restaurant delicious, the other aspects of the hotel's service are not as outstanding. To walk through the forest trails a guide must be hired, unless you have spa...

Kathmandu's 18 hole golf course is located not far from core downtown. Their restaurant food was great. Lobby decoration and ambiance of the hotel is also very good. Drop by Hyatt Hotel on your way if you want to take a break for snack or a drink. Both properties have really beautiful and artistic decoration.

This is a beautiful golf resort, a taxi ride away from the hustle and bustle of central Kathmandu. Historic property, the forests were once royal hunting grounds. Stayed here ten years ago (December 2006), in a delux villa overlooking the golf course. You can play golf or take a guided hike in the forests (there is a small local temple...

Now 5 star accommodation, Gokarna was once where royalty stayed for their hunting expeditions. Beautiful, comfortable, large rooms complement this very peaceful resort. Meals cannot be faulted. Indoor pool, massage, guided jungle walks, golf course, gift shop and very comfortable and relaxing seating throughout. Macaques move in closer at dusk and can be seen from your room. They watch and...

I visited GFR in December 2016. It is a twenty minute drive from the airport if the city traffic is light, and will take about an hour and a half during peak hours. The approach to the resort is bumpy and the approach roads are in a bad state. In fact driving into GFR in the dark is quite scary,...

1. No open spaces or green spaces for anything you might want to do ...Literally not even 50m space for a night walk...forget that its a jungle lodge...there is no open space where you can go 2. Staff's attitude is pathetic...they act as if they are all from the Royal family in Nepal and are doing you a great favor...

I had just ended my 2hrs horse riding trekking at Gokarna Forest Resort and I have to inform you that it was one of the worst riding experience I ever had. I love horses and I have rode in places like Malaysia, Scotland, Indonesia and another part of Nepal, Pokhara. All the places I went the guides were very nice...

Very nice, Flushy green property in Nepal. Infact, the safest and the better place to stay in nepal. One can enjoy golf and can stay in the lushes of green in this property. Considering kathmandu, probably the best place to stay in nepal.

Lovely to have a peaceful place to stay close to Kathmandu. Staff were amazing! So helpful, professional and prompt. Rishma was especially attentive throughout short stay. Room and bathoom was very spacious. Furniture and decor were nice and room had all you needed. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful resort located a few km from Thamel. Staff is very friendly and eagerly awaits serving you. The closest to an American-style resort you can get! We opted for spa treatment for two, which was ok. Massage was good, but scrub and facial were kind of weird. They have two restaurants with endless food options. Breakfast buffet was also great....
